My 81' R65 tends to spit just enough final drive gear lube to make a mess of the sides of my rear tire.. The level never seem to drop much, if at all.. Just enough to make a greasy mess.. Anyway, I found a nice replacement final drive and I'm going to swap them out, so I can repair the seal on my original.. I got the final drive for $120 and I figure I'll change lube and slap it on, BUT, is there any thing I should look out for when performing this task?? I have a Clymer, and will follow it, but I was just wondering if there's anything else to keep my eye on before or after (or during) the swap? Since it'll be another month before the salt's cleared off, I can't ride, so I might as well fix.. Flat top carb rebuild kit showed up yesterday..
