I thought for sure this had been covered in the past, and maybe it has but I couldn't find it in 5 min so .....

Is it OK to use synthetic oil in the CT110 since it also comes in contact with the clutches?

You need to use mineral oil as the clutch will slip and wear with synthetic oil.

Some people use car oil as it's cheap.

Motorbike oil will be nicer to the clutch.

    I picked up castrol 15w 50 $30 for 3L.
Will stay thicker at high temps.. Which you get with posties.

I put synthetic motorcycle oil in all of my bikes, including my CT90, CT110 and ST90. You can buy it at most auto parts stores nowadays, or you can go online and find a local Amsoil dealer. Just ask for synthetic motorcycle oil. It is approved for use with wet clutches.

I have a CT90, and last oil change I went with Shell Rotella 5w40 full synthetic diesel oil. In about a mile it felt like I had installed new clutches in it. Motor was quieter than with 5w-40 Yamalube synthetic and it's half the price. Try a quart from Walmart.
