This is Me and Dawn on our DR650.

This is the other couple on our ride, Andrew & Gayle.

Its been over 2 years since Dawn relented and said, " ok. lets do the TAT then". The DR was purchased 2 years ago yesterday and has been in a state of modification ever since :D
2 years of planning and saving and finding another couple keen/mad enough to want to come along.
We fly out of NZ on Saturday.
Our bike should be in Teneessee within the next day or so.

We are taking an Ipad and hope to be able to update fairly regularly.
Hope you will join us on our BIG adventure:ricky:ricky

A buddy and I start our TAT ride on the 23rd of this month. I am sure you will be at least a week ahead of us. What day are you planning to leave Tellico Plains?

Subscribed...be following you. Ride safe , Ride far...You'll love it. I cheated in doing it via Enduro sidecar..:rofl. Do the "Long Canyon Road' in New Mexico for me as I ditched it...:cry.

Don't stay at the Casino Hotel (Isle of Capri in Mississippi)...it's a rip off and dump....go cross the Bridge and seek better reasonable, fair lodgings there if you don't camp.

    Cheers...

We will probably get away from Tellico about the 15th. You will probably catch us up. We have allowed 6weeks for the TAT.

Yep, 6 weeks:D Such an expensive exercise getting over there, we figured there's no point in cutting ourselves short on time. That should give us some time off the bike each week and a bit of time for any "" detours." or any bike problems.:huh
Or wet weather. Hopefully the dry will continue. If we get done with the TAT earlier we can go somewhere else. :D
There may be places we would like to stay a bit longer ie; Colorado looks awesome. Would like to see Monument valley, Crater lake in Oregon.
