In need of a little handlebar therapy :ricky , I took off towards the mountains to see if there were any colors left. I needed to check on some trout waters as well so it all came together at a good time. I usually camp with the KLR but decided to try the Wee for a change. The weather was great and there were still enough leaves left for an added bonus. Traffic wasn't too bad until Friday around lunch. Here's what I got to see.......

Even though the colors were spotty, the views were great

It was 34 deg. when I got up the next morning,36 deg. when I left. Kinda cool at first but a nice ride just the same

Other than a few hunters,I had the roads to myself in the morning

Things started to get crowded,so I decided to head back towards Georgia

It was a short trip of about 550 miles. I have ridden some of the roads before, but it was good to see them this time of year :ricky

Nice pics. It seems like you found some good color this weekend!

Is it just me, or did it feel like things went directly from green to brown for the most part this autumn here in Georgia?

Thanks Mike. Both bikes have their place, this trip was perfect for the Wee. With the KLR,I'm more likely to go places that I probably shouldn't go :yikes

There are still a few spots in the flatlands that have a little color.Though not as fun as the mountains,it was still nice to get out and ride some this weekend although the scenery isn't as nice.

Still some decent riding along the rivers

Today tblmkr and I went for a short ride in the area (about 150 miles). A good ride,we hit a lot of backroads with some decent scenery.

It was good to get a little more riding in before everything turns all brown and icky looking :lol3 . The colors are just about history for this year.

was up around Suches a week or two back - i think you saw more color than I.

What camera were you using? A helmet cam? or were you just adventurous on the "on bike" shots?

Thanks. It was the last weekend of Oct. that I was up there. Most of the color was in N.C. and Tenn. Coming back I went through the Blairsville Ga. area,it had good color.
The camera is just a cheap Nikon Coolpix. It's had a rough life but still functions ok. :thumb
