Eating and greeting is always a good idea. I'll be watching.
Cracker Barrel on Campbel Sta. Rd. works like a charm for me and Linzi as we live about a hog's leg away.
Weekends work best for us, too.
I'd be down. I need a little more insight on the dirt riding around these parts, considering I just got my first dual sport yesterday and I've never ridden offroad(on two wheels). Plus I love to eat! lol
Sent you a pm.
How about a revolving meet and eat, and ride? Nothing adventurous or off-road in Knoxville really. How about something south like in Tellico Plains, the Tellicafe or Tellico Grains (you could always spend the night at the Farmhouse Inn, ). Then we can ride the myriad of NFS roads. Then we could move north to Lake City (like the Unicorn cafe?) or Caryville (Scotty burger or the BBQ place or..)... then ride in R.B. or Brimstone, etc. Just have to remind everybody we need permits up north (sportsmans or lifetime hunt license qualifies too in the WMAs).
I like the idea of it moving around. Since there's no perfect time/place for all of us, shifting places and times increases the chances that each of us will make it at some point.
That's fine by me. My thought was just to break bread somewhere easy to get to from the edges of our area...talk about past rides, make plans for future rides and give MC heads up on upcoming events to post about.
I, not only like Tellico Grains, but it's a nice ride down Hwy 360 to get there from my place. I don't usually ride on weekends (retired), but could set aside time to eat with y'all. Waspp, machinebuilder and I could probably ride together, along with anyone wanting to meet up a Sloan's (BP) in Vonore.
So. let's get to it...
I'll be perfectly honest and say while I like the idea, my participation is likely to be erratic at best. Weekends would likely work better for me as well.
Meanwhile on I40 around Knoxville..
Looks more like India than a US interstate.
I'll see your pallet truck and raise you a real life ghost hunter in Kingsport
Ha a couple of years ago you would have seen me on I40 heading home form Nashville with a load of styrofoam for my roof:
But it was worht the effort:
I imagine they'll clean this up right quick but there was a large tree down today on FS126 (Bald River Rd) between Holly Flats and Green Cove.
Motor 7, I like your cabin, did you buy a kit? I would like to see the floor plan.
Tony in Tn (Nashville) who wants a cabin in east Tn.
That is a nice looking cabin...looks like it has a great shootin porch!
Thanks for the feedback from my last post!
Here's a few more photos from my trip away from East TN.
I completed my trip in 20 days and the ride was over 10000 miles so I didn't take very many pictures but here's a few photos.

Looks like a great trip!
Jealous. Great trip. I want to do that but I want to have hit the lottery first and take a long time doing it.
