We still have a decent drive ahead of us and a border crossing. Its only the bikes that have a marathon day, the rest of us (support, cars and trucks) all camp at the next bivouac. It will be nice not having to unpack the tools, beches, easyup, Neds stuff, etc.
Ps...."Team Girlfriend", not "Neds Girlfriend"
Kinda cool having a slow start as we're normally up and at it quite early. Went back to bed after Ned left which was a novelty
Cool watching all the cars and trucks leave as well. The trucks are very badass and would make a bitching commuter vehicle
So is the ranger going to be turned into a Dakar truck soon? If so you should as RG how to boost HP with a air pump and tires via Airgate lol
I haven't seen anything about timing but with all the river crossing drama, were any timing adjustments made or is that just for being first to OTB in the mud?
No...I guess they figured that bike lost enough time anyway so they let him off the hook with just an apology. Moral of the story...stay out of the way of the leaders!...esp if they happen to be French.
How fast is Ned travelling in the desert anyway?
I saw a hummer doing 195 kmh on sand down a mountain in the highlights video.
Quite impressive and a lot faster than I imagined.
bit is slang for penis.cock, etc.
You just said: "I speak a little cock of french"
I just had some pop come out of my nose.
Petite bit = small stub
It's like double small.
Hey Ted. Any other French phrases you'd like us to translate for you?
we're laughing with you, not at you.
Isn't the phrase "little cock of French" redundant? :eek1
How small is it?
Sorry Ted. I don't know you well enough. Don't take offense.
"First bivouac in Peru and its gorgeous, snow capped volcanoes and enthusiastic fans. I see on the web that Ned finished the day at a consistent speed...Go!! Ned Go!!!....its cerverza time"
Some think a tongue is only made for talking, but the French know better.
Just listening to Neil on http://rallyraidio.net/
Just watched) and JC come into their camp. Rear end missing and a flat. Hummer and guys look worked...JC I'm alive"
Two days in a row they have had close calls....can't express enough how I would never sit co pilot in that thing. Crazy
Everyone loves a camera in their face
I see RG's crew found a parking space where they will not have to air down to get out.
Day Eleven bivouac....just chilling
The palace, no easyup, tools, tables, etc tonight.
We just watched him take over pressure washing his truck, two days ago we watched him take over getting his support truck unstuck.....a wee bit of a micro manager
His staff stand around watching and they seem nervous all the time
Makes for fun entertainment while sitting in the sun drinking cervezas
