Got it, Ted. Fantastic so far, excellent.
It's me and 2 of my racing buddies from Serres Rally, Polytimi & Vassilis, plus our friend Elvis on support duties.
Lots of Swedes, Italians Austrians Dutch and Germans, etc participating this year -around 200 bikers- so hopefully I will come back with
quite a few stories to tell & a bunch of cool photos
Can't wait to see it!!!
I got mine earlier this week
It must have to go by pony express the last hundred miles out into the sticks
been a bit too busy to write
but I must
so here it is
Anyone who likes this race or has any interest in it should read this book
it is fantastic! It is one of the best and coolest books on the topic p e r i o d.
I have had no time to watch the dvd yet but I cannot wait to do it.
Great job by all!
big props to Ted for taking on this project
Got the book today.
I may be offline for awhile...
Wife says mine arrived today. I will get it tomorrow and am grateful. Working on the road has its drawbacks but it will be nice to refer to the book and DVD to get stoked for some riding.
Just got mine!!
Hey Ted, I'm not going to see you at the Roaming Rally, would you mind handing my book off to Dresda? I'm trying to get a run up that way sometime this year...
got mine as well, piece of art ...... now off to prep for Roaming Rally , see u next week
well, how does one buy this book ??
no links in Ted's sigline or on graveltravel
All pre orders have been shipped. Sadly the overseas books had to be shipped ground....air was quoted at $80 per book so.....6-8 weeks delivery to some areas. My apologies for that but I didn't expect folks wanted me emailing them and asking for more money so patience is going to be required...it was the only solution which wouldn't actually cost me money (break even at best).
To be fair to the folks who are going to have to wait a while, sales won't commence until August. Once they do, books will be printed and shipped from the printers. Their shipping costs are significantly lower than anything I could come up with. I suppose they get a deal as a result of doing bulk business.
So.....in August a website will be posted with purchase details.
It's quite flattering reading peoples feedback about the book. I'm stoked your enjoying it
Fantastic job, first rate by any standards. I have only flipped through it, but I can tell this will be a great read. Images ain't' to shabby either
Thank ya'll so much for sharing the passion.
I got mine on Wednesday. I must have ESP or something. I was driving home wednesday afternoon and thought, "I wonder when that book will arrive?". When I got home, and opened the door to let the cat out, it was sitting on the front porch!!
I'm about 45-50 pages in, and so far I'm LOVING it! Nice job Ted and crew! I still have not put the dvd in yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Hope there are some more pictures of the umbrella girls!
Now I need to hide it from myself so that I can get everything ready for the Roaming Rally!
Just got mine! Thanks Ted; this looks excellent! Can't wait to sit down and really read...
Take your time with it. I'm a third of the way in, and I could read it much faster, but I don't really want to finish it.
Again Ted, best Dakar book on my shelf, that's for certain.
No problem Ted, it will be worth the wait
Lovin' the bike porn that is Tales from the Bivouac! Perfect coffee table book. The production and quality are first class.
Trying to decide where that one excellent sticker will go. Probably on the Tiger XC windshield.
Ted, got my book on Thursday. I haven't made it halfway through yet. But damn fine job!!!!!!! I knew it would be good, but I am still blown away.
If your ever in the Chicago area or I make it to Canada I am buying you a beer sir!
It's all true! I don't have anything to add to what's been said before about the book.
Thank you Ted and all involved.
