I placed my order from the UK at a similar time, and mine has just arrived - so I imagine other international orders aren't far away now?

The book looks fantastic Ted - looking forward to settling down with it while my leg heals!

    Toot toot!

Perhaps someday down the line but for now it is only a print publication. Early October we intend to have it available for purchase. Then in November Tales From The Bivouac - Volume 2 will be available. This installment in the TFTB series is a collection of stories (aka tales) from various folks who have participated in rally races in 2012 (Serres in Greece, Mex1k in Mexico, Abu Dhabu in the UAE) as well as a special on Dakar privateers with interviews from some folks racing the Dakar in January.

I was going to add, having got a copy of the book myself - it really is worth getting the printed version - A4 glossy hardback, it really is beautifully put together - E-books are never going to compete with that?

During the process of writing the Dakar book, Angelo (Brodovitch here on adv) and I enjoyed the experience so much we decided to make a series of publications. Why is the big question I suppose. To enjoy a hobby and produce a product we both wish existed; I guess this would be the answer. We have no false illusions of making a living from this, in fact I sincerely believe this is the reason there are no publications dedicated to offroad rally racing. It is a small niche group of people who enjoy the sport, whether that be as a competitor or as a fan.

Our goal is to put together a print publication once a year or as material is available. Volume 1 (Dakar 2012) is now for sale from our new website www.TFTB.org

Neither Angelo nor myself are web designers....we're learning as we go and hope to add content to the web site over the coming months, years, etc :D

We have been working hard on the second volume in the Tales From The Bivouac series...which we aim to have available in December....

We sincerely appreciate everyone's interest and patience. The writing, producing, website, editing, etc has been a bit of a personnel learning curve for myself and one I am quite enjoying.

    Thanks for the support

Perhaps someday but for now we've decided to stay as a print publication.

Cheers and thanks for the interest.

I agree - the quality [and ownership] of the hard-back book is far nicer than simply just reading it on a kindle or similar... keep it real!

A good analogy would be the whole paper roll vs. digital road-book debate - but don't get me started on that!

TFTB Volume Two is almost finished...we expect to release it within the next couple of weeks. We hope everyone enjoys the read. This edition is a collection of stories from various folks. Two racers recap their Dakar 2013 adventures. The NorraMex1k, the Australasian Safari, the Baja Rally along with an excellent interview in regards to safety and rally racing....combined we feel the second volume of TFTB is a quality publication.
