    Cheers matey!

Not THOSE glasses! I lost mine too in the sea, had to wear my sunglasses 24hrs a day...and it as holidays so I couldn't even get new ones....all good now! Currently the whole of Bolivia is absolutely paralytically drunk for Todos Santos....man oh man!:freaky

I really like Bolivia! Top people (no as good as Guate though!), I was hoping to ride a 5-600km stretch of minor road uninterrupted but whilst the initial 60-80km was tough they have built, and are building a nice new careterra which cuts through....I wasn't sure whether to be relieved or disappointed!

rain today though...hoping to head to the jungle for a bit of hiking, maybe tomorrow!

I'll keep an eye for some new sunglasses for you!

If you ever call me gringo to my face I might try and punch you (then run away)!! :D

Beach sounds like a good place to be! I wrote you an email, hopefully you got that....don't want you to think (realise) that I'm rude?!

....No need to suffer though, get into the bar and drink Tecates or something? Or tea and biscuits if you're a fag like me :)

    Budget
Recently, I've been looking at my budget as some would-be travellers were asking trying to make their own plans, and maybe others are interested too.

This is a rough calculation, certainly not exact, and I'm working a lot from memory (so please forgive me if I make a mistake and amend later, but I think it's all here and okay), hopefully I've not forgotten anything.

Since September 2010 when I landed in San Francisco, USA until now December 2012 (Bolivia) I've spent roughly $13,000. This is working it out with an exchange rate of 1.6 US$ to 1GBP (I'm British so work in pounds usually, but for easy understanding for all).

    This includes;

    A new bike in Guatemala - (18,500Qs) $2350
    A visit/flight home $1250
Replacement of worn out camping stuff when I went home, $1000
    Crossing Darien - $450
    And $500 on health insurance.

I worked in Guatemala, and at home when I visited a total time of about 5 or 5.5 months, I also sold my old car (and had to pay to get it road worthy to do so!, I forget how much that was)....but hopefully this gives some indication. I don't think this includes shipping my original bike (...that later broke in Guatemala) from South Korea (where I worked after the Africa stint) which cost $1000, as I paid for that in Korean Wan and so from another bank account.

    Hey Klous.

I noticed that your thread name was changed and your website has not had an update in some time.

Are you still on the road?

Either way, safe travels man, looking forward to an update.

    Hi J!

Yeah, I changed the thread title as I didn't like to mislead people, I have a little bit more money than before, and whilst I still live cheap I'm able to buy coke and chocolate if I want to now...and genuinely felt guilty about the title saying "$5"!

No, I'm still on the road! :clap You can always check my homepage which shows where I am too on the map, more or less. It's not live but I update it if I can.

You are right though, the blog is a bit behind, Iwanted to do it in Sucre, but my visa is about to run out in Bolivia so I'm having to get to the border! The blog takes me quite a time to write these days so I'll try to do it later.....who knows where! But please be patient....I did manage to get the photos done though.

I always put one or two updates on facebook in-between blog posts too, so if you use FB then you can follow the fanpage. The link is in my signature.

    Thanks for looking!
