Can anyone tell me what the burgman 650 would be like for a 6'3" dude for long distance touring?
I don't know why but occasionally I really get the itch for an automatic rig when sitting in traffic.....

My buddy rides a Bergman 650 as his main bike. Takes it everywhere. I'm close to your height and have spent some miles on it. Overall I have zero complaints. The only issue for me is that after 31 years on traditional motorcycles, the feet forward seating position puts too much weight on my butt. I tried using my buddy's backrest but it's too close for my long legs. If it was my bike, I'd pony up for a custom Riches seat that pushed the step in the seat back a bit and invest in a taller aftermarket windscreen.

I agree, the automatic feature is wonderful when commuting or otherwise dealing with stop and go traffic.

The storage capacity is HUGE and with the addition of a Givi trunk would make it an excellent long distance ride.

I am 6'3" and have a Burgman. Great ride. Mine has a Corbin seat.I like the fact you can move around in different riding positions. There is a Burgman forum. Can't remember the name of it. Should be easy to find. There are many mods that can be done to make it the perfect ride.

I am 6-2 and ride my Burgman everywhere and have for 6 years, I took my backrest off and installed a Subaru headrest bent to slide into the stock Burgy backrest holes. Great comfort and support, plus it gives my something to hold onto.

Cannot reply to the tall question as i am only 5' 8", but as for the feet forward position that's not a problem. Just move your feet back to where you are comfortable, there is more than enough room on the floor and foot rest to move your feet back several inches.

Aftermarket seats are available if you really think you need one.

I ride a 650 Burgman and I'm 6.1 with a 34 " inseam. I make backrest's for both the 650 and 400 Burgman's. These will give you 2 to 3" of additional legroom and provide lower back support. Check out the post's on the Burgman USA forum. Do a search for bearcat backrest.
