:clap If you are interested then drop me an e-mail at Chrisbarnes1@yahoo.com----about second at the moment. Once I have about 4 or 5 firm orders then I'll make a few--and won't shout about it, ask for deposit etc until I'm happy about the quality.

ps The track pics were meant as a bit of a joke--except that a slide would have meant a wrecked tank--I have yet to test the durability in the horizontal mode--but its got to be better than nothing. Its just the wrong bike to go round a track on--but it did surprise me --and a few others--light weight, WP suspension and good brakes--shame about the old fart riding it.

    My first bike drop today...&^&%#@@!!

1- wanna get a set of those guards from you... just tell me how to send you the money from Mexico... paypal?

2- would like to take a look/see some info about those japs anyway, but couldn't find an link to those in the threads ... could someone post it...?

3- How are you attaching them to the bike...? Is the side lip well sealed to the tank... any mud/water, etc... could slip inside and sort of accumulate in there?

Great product. Perhaps you could post more detailed close up photos showing the edge finishing, outside and inside surface finishes and quality of fit to the tank to give people a better idea. Do you have a mould suitable for the 03 tanks as I think it differs from later tanks.

Edge finishing--my last ones were on for about 8,000 miles--very little dirt etc...for sealing just use a small amout of silicon sealant as a fillet around the edge if you are bothered.

Ill try and post some more pics of the first set on my bike--next set half completed-and better quality-I will of course check fit on my plug tank before any shipment ---but getting perfect surface contact all the way round is not that easy---some warpage always occurs --especially if you remove from the mould too early--I made this mistake with the set on my bike--but it hardly shows.

I've just finished the first set (apart from those on my bike)--quality is good--but not perfect (related to commercial products)--fit checked out fine on my tank plug---pics attached. Will proceed with next set--I'd like to have a few pairs ready before I contact those that have expressed interest--at least this way the actual waiting time from order to receipt will be short.

pic of the inside----my vacuum bagging is not as good as I'd like (really need a bigger pump)--but its pretty smooth and I've removed any lumps or ridges.

:deal For those of you that have contacted me personally I've made 6 sets so far , so will be contacting people shortly ( in date order) to see if you still want them. I've made a couple of sets in carbon/kevlar as a couple of people were interested (one 50/50 weave and one about 75/25 kevlar/carbon)--but they are a real !"£££@ to finish--kevlar will not cut easily--I suppose thats the purpose-----anyway, I don't really want to make any more unless really forced as it takes too damned long.

Regards, CB:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap
