Glad you're Ok and you got the bike out and running! :eek1 I'm sure thankful it was dry when we hit that part. Someone needs to go ride the rest of this with you so you can have a first hand witness! :lol3

Also, you are going to need those cold weather clothes once you get within an hour of the coast. You'll be lucky if it gets close to 60 degrees. We were freezing.

My guess is that is the West side of Ophir pass, heading down into the town of Ophir.

    Great ride report!

That sprocket got messed up. :eek1

And are hotels cool with you stuffing your bike in them? I must say, I love those pictures, but none beat the one with the guy who took his bike into a shower. :rofl

So I got a message from C3 last night. Unfortunately I missed his phone call as I was at work, but he was in Lakeview, Oregon. :clap Unfortunately his laptop is broken (he didn't elaborate), so he won't be posting anymore till he's home probably. He also mentioned his luggage rack being held on with rope, so I'm guessing he took a tumble and broke his computer. But he said he's doing fine. Hopefully his bike doesn't cause too much more trouble, he also said it was leaking oil a bit...:eek1

I'll keep you guys posted if I hear anything else.

    Great ride report! :clap

You were making this trip just as I was crossing the country with a minivan full of wife, kids and dog. I thought I had a challenging trip until I read your report. :loll

    Thanks for sharing. :clap

    Cheers,

C-3's ride is the perfect definition of perseverance. I would spell that with caps and in bold letters making it P-E-R-S-E-V-E-R-A-N-C-E. Looking forward to the wrap-up on your ride report C-3.
