always wanted a grand national. they are like the car equivalent of the 950SE.
Nate's new OHV School Bus design - Deer beware!
It's funny you mention that now.
I actually put in a bid on eBay for my next project and it looks similar to that.
I just need to find an adv'er in Indiana to look at it for me.
Gonna go all Nitro Circus on us?
Gonna need a Dealer License and Transporter Plates if you keep this up..............
The school bus project fell through,I still have my eyes open for the right vehicle though.
I've been following Scudrunner's pick up build on Pro Touring. That thing is gonna be nuts.
I just picked up a '88 TBird Turbo Coupe that should be a fun project.
This Sunday I may be up the Rt 22 corridor in the Claverack area.
Is that in Shiny things or somewhere else?
It is over on another forum. Careful, you'll rot your mind in there.
Too late for that.
$8,000? That guy's insane!
Cool build though.
Hey thanks man.
What are your plans for your TBird? I'm actually using the rack and pinion unit out of that car on my truck.
Take care of the basics so it is a working car. I am going to first focus on the suspension and brakes upgrade. Make it into a good back road driver. I like to dream further in terms of motor but that will require a lot of time also money.
Clean looking machine.
Sounds like a solid plan.
When you get everything else sorted I say you find a wrecked mustang and cram a Coyote in there. heh.
Coyote weighs less than the 4 cylinder with turbo that is in there now. I was shocked.
Gotta stay with the turbo. Nothing like impressing the Ricer Kids with your blow-off valve.
Maybe add anti lag, cruise the local Walmart and shoot some flames.
You can get them at your local parts store. Adel clamps. They come in aluminum and stainless. I just doubled them up and riveted them to the frame.
always wanted that tbird sc coupe. i was also lusting after the bonneville sse. dunno something about comfort but quick. was never looking to win races but it's nice when you push on that right side pedal ( throddle for some ) and feel a little vroom.
I started working on a turbo project myself.
I bought an old state trooper Tahoe:
It's going to be powered by a LS 6.0l turbo. I just sent the 6.0l to the machine shop. Once it gets back I'll start sourcing the turbo and the necessary parts.
I think not.
The Eco-boost is lighter by over a hundred lbs.
