That was the "chalk-line pose". :rofl

I re-enacted it unintentionally third loop, section 6, with the bike on top of me. :uhoh

Thanks for having us AZ! You guys put on a great event! It was very well organized and at an awesome venue! Good job! :thumb

Yup, the "Chalk Line" pose. Happened 15 minutes before his start time Saturday morning in Texas when he tripped after putting his Beta on the side stand in the parking lot. :D

Me: "Stay right there, let me get a pic!!"

Gordy: "Dude! Chalk line pose!!!" Then he hammed up the fall. :photog

We know how to have fun at the Nationals! :lol3

Sorry about your splat Gordy. Trials at best is something hurting all the time, but not too bad...

Rumor has us putting up the World round in a couple years, at this site. I wonder if I should get out of the sport, then show up in sunglasses to WATCH the event. But actually, checking a good section is a chance to see a hundred riders take three passes at a series of problems, two days in a row. That's a lot of trials to absorb: the study, the initial attempts, the learning curve, the success or abandonment, across a spectrum of abilities.

This was a trials. Hats off to all the contributors -- NATC, the riders, the setters, the checkers, the ladies who made the lunches, even the toffs driving the UTVs for the spectators! CAT makes a serious contribution to the sport in a lighthearted, welcoming atmosphere. I am blessed to participate.

    Gets in your head.

Gordy, it sounds like you survived! After they carted you off from Section 3, it just wasn't the same on the loop anymore! Hope the ribs are doing ok... I saw in another thread you've got some TM responsibilities coming up - that should be a real pleasure with the aching side!

I was having a blast riding with you guys! They wanted to cart me off, but I had someone start my bike and took the road back to the pits. I think that bouncing in the cart would have hurt worse!:rofl
Junior did great, give him our congrats! :bow

I love this pic from Texas!

I'm mending up nicely and nothing a little more time won't heal.

Here's wishing your team continued success this year and hope to see you in Wyoming!! :beer

Good to hear it wasn't as bad as it looked! I thought you were going out on the meat wagon for sure!

Thanks for the kind words for Abdrew. He's working hard, and having fun too. Couldn't be a better mix, and I'm happy to get to share it with him!

We'll see you for sure in Wyoming. I'll be minding for Madison again, so you'll get to laugh at me out on the loop again!

What is the difference between expert and expert sportsman? I am not looking to sign up, I was just looking at that link and was curious.

Expert is harder than most local champ classes. Expert sportsman was a transition class between sportsman and expert. Originally started in the late 90`s and was supposed to be 1/2 expert sections. Last year it started having it`s own split markers.

Why did they change it. When they rode 1/2 expert 1/2 support they could compare their rides with the both experts and with the support lines . Plus it makes another set of splits to keep up with. I wondered why last years scores were lower.
