I have a GPS track for the Telkwa Pass if anyone is interested. Actually I have two routes, one from Telkwa through the pass to Terrace and north to the rest area at Lava Lake, and one starting in Kincolith and ending in Hazelton via the Cranberry, Mitten, and Helen FSR's.

Please pm me and I can provide an e-mail address.

    Thanks.

    Hey BCHunter

Am coming your way and would like your tracks of Telkwa Pass and Kincolith. Is there a bad forest fire situation in your area?

I'd love to get those tracks, as well.

    Thanks!

Not sure whether you or HowsTricksMurp got the tracks? I don't have a Telkwa Pass track but here is one from Terrace to Kincolith and then across to Hazelton via Mitten and Helen FSR's. All paved from Tce. to Kincolith and back to 10 km east of New Aiyansh, then good gravel to Old Hazelton.

Shorepig, since nobody's replied to your question, I'll say what little I know. I went part way up about 3 weeks ago from the west side but not all the way to the lakes as my riding partner was on street tires. Somebody's been working on the road a bit, brushing the sides to widen it out and there's a new culvert below the glacier where it usually washes out. I know of someone who took a quad up from the east side. I just can't confirm what the middle (toughest) part is like, but I'd assume if someone's been working on it, it should be OK.
    Hope this helps.
