What would be a nice gratuity for being allowed to pitch a tent? Would one be expected?

Does anyone know a good way to access this map on an iphone? I love this idea but it would be great if I could look at it on the road, not while actually riding on the road of course.

Personally I've always tried to find out what my host likes and match that up with something they don't normally get at home. Also depends on how much they "host". Everyone is different.

For example, one guy stored my bikes for about six months in Seattle and let me work on them in his garage and stay for a night when I returned to get them. He was into whiskey. So when I sent him some Colorado whiskey "Stranahans" for all the help and friendship.:1drink

On the flip side, I've hosted others and don't expect anything but interesting conversation in return!(so if your conversation sucks....then you should bring Tequila:lol3)

Like Extrem said, none of the people I stayed with expected anything more than some stories from the road. I don't like showing up empty handed though so I made a point of finding out what my host drank and showed up with a six pack, fifth or two litter bottle. If nothing else it provides a good ice breaker.

I signed up for two reasons.

    1. To repay the helpfulness and hospitality I've received from others on my travels.
    2. Because I want to help fellow inmates out and meet interesting people who share my passion for bikes and adventure.

I don't expect anything but good company and interesting conversation from people who takes advantage of my tent space offer.

Yep same link. Perhaps is my PC. But the link still doesn't work.
Here what is says in the left corner:

    File not found at http://tentspace.ridetoeat.....
    Suggestions:
Make sure the URL is spelled correctly.
    Make sure the file exists.

    Any idea?
