    DeepSea,

That would be awesome. I'm going to clean my sensors and intake stuff see if that helps, then move onto the stock map. I'm thinking of investing in a cheap PC to get tuneECU and cable (would want in eventually) but I still would need to learn how to use it correctly-Whole other story.....

    Thanks for the help everyone!

Will send you a PM once I get back home.

It's pretty easy to use TuneECU. Just doing it the first time is intimidating. At least to me it was.

As far as cleaning the throttle bodies, what would you guys suggest? Carb cleaner? And what should I use for the sensors? Would Q-tips w/brake cleaner work? Thoughts? Also would anyone have a step by step for pulling the throttle body off the intake. (I know its simple but it my first time) :) Cherry poppin!

Wish i had 90miles on each side tank, and having FUN!

Decent offorading, 130 miles to the light ain't that bad..

With Tuneecu (or 990 friend with tuneecu) check if O2's are off, set them on and testride. Test TB's synch and if no change, load stock map.

They can also be un-threaded from the intake tube and cleaned off the bike if you are so inclined.

Dont use the little cleaning tools they sell for torch tips. That will really screw it up.

That's about normal for a 990...950's have slightly more tank volume...

For reference I did a ride this week that was 176 miles from the last fuel stop. The low fuel light hasn't lit up yet.
About 1/2 of that distance was easy, fast dirt; the other half was pavement cruising at 70+ MPH.

Interesting, the best mileage I ever got on my bike (by far) was 180miles before the fuel light came on (usually get 150 before the light), and it was on a ride from Bend back down to Norcal. You guys must put something nice in the gas up there...:lol3

I live in Alameda, have a TuneBoy cable and experience reading/writing maps. If you want to swing by and have your map downloaded so the wizards here can take a look, as well as reading any trouble codes- just send me a PM.

    Cheers,
    Ken

Bike only had about 2,500 miles when I picked it up. Previous owner put Akropovic titanium slips, changed rear from 42 to 45 teeth. I ran out of gas on the Fwy at just under 120 miles. Im gonna put stock sprocket back to 42. whats the cost to change the map in SoCal area and who would you go to? Lior? Malcomb's, ESP?
