Howdy from New Braunfels. New to the forum and adventure bikes. I just picked up a Multistrada, though I'm not sure where that leaves me in terms of the dual sport/adventure bike conversation. Anyway, I'd love to join in on any local rides!

Hello inmates! Not sure if this is the right spot for noob introductions but a link I found somewhere else brought me here. I've been away from 2-wheel action for some time but have recently gotten back into riding. Bought an Africa Twin off this site, from a guy in FL. ISO dirt and gravel roads within reasonable distance of Austin, and adventure riding in general (but nothing too technical for now, as it's a 500+ lb bike ya know). Maybe I'll buy a KTM for the tougher stuff, who knows. Looking forward to taking part in the ADV community and meeting some new friends.

Here's a recent pic of me and the AT--

I bought a Suzuki vstrom 650 when I moved to Houston a few years ago. Have been wanting to get off-road for the past year. Closest I've come is RawHyde training in Colorado and a bit of mudding in the construction area of our housing development. Anyhow - glad to see there's such an active community here in Houston. I'm looking to join in on a trip through Sam Houston Natl Forest.

Nice bike man! http://www.texasadventure.net/hill-country-day-rides/ is a good place to start for some easy rides. I enjoy riding these when life slows down enough that I can sneak away for a few hours without feeling like I'm ignoring school.

Hello, newbie to the site. 51 yr old. I ride an 800 GSA among other things. New to the ADV riding but experienced dirt and street rider. I live about an hour south of Dallas outside Ennis but work in Irving. Looking for other riders to join up with for either weekend trips or longer. Can trailer up to 3 bikes to farther destinations in case that helps someone out. I am an avid camper but don't mind roughing it and staying in a hotel or any combination. Hot showers are good from time to time.

Rider in the Houston area here. Looking to find some local-ish spots to get more experience taking a bigger ADV off-road in preparation for a long trip.
    Ride a 1200GSA.

You ought to get in touch with Tourmeister then. He's in Huntsville and knows a lot of dirt roads around that area. He rides a GS (on his 3rd one). Probably best to catch him on www.twtex.com though. Not so sure how often he checks in here.
