Not much in they way of "off road trails", but lots of rural, back roads and dirt roads any direction you want to go. You just gotta go lookin for em.

There's a trail around Oklahoma .... http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/making-of-the-oklahoma-adventure-trail.836706/ ...... and another one in Arkansas. And several popular rides here in Texas and Arkansas.

Thanks! I'm loving it. I'm planning to ride it to Big Bend in the Fall. I've been clocking about 46-48 mpg on it so far and with a bit over a 4 gal tank it does OK. I'm going to add a rotopak for sure. I've done a decent amount of touring on the Mulitstrada and just clocked over 30k miles on it. But I really wanted something that would do some dirt work as well that wasn't super tall.

Thanks for that. I'm perfectly fine taking a few days to wander out of state so I appreciate the link. I guess I'll just keep hunting for trouble to check the box on those day rides too.

Hey folks. Newbie to the forum here. I just moved to the Houston area from New England. Just finishing up a resto-mod of a '74 XL350 and looking to get some riding in. Its a vintage adv-wannabe. Here's a before and after.

Hello. I'm relatively new to Texas having moved here from Ohio. Looking to stay more up to date on any ADV things going on around here. I'm in the Austin area in a town called Buda.

Welcome to Texas. We have a monthly meet and greet the first Thursday of every month and a monthly ride the first Saturday of every month. Google Texas Adventure Riders Association and you should be able to find the details. Hope you can join us next Thursday at the meet and greet.

Hello, recently relocated to McKinney from NJ... just picked up a new BMW F800GS and excited to get back into ADV riding.
Going to break the bike in on an overnighter up to Oklahoma to do a little camping/fishing this weekend and look for some dirt!
Looking forward to meeting new people and great places to ride!

Greetings from Austin, Texas. I am more of an adventure rider wanna be with my 2015 Harley Ultra. My previous bike was a Dyna. I have been on too many tours where I cannot do something or see something because of dirt roads. My next bike will be a dual sport...In the mean time I ride all over the Hill County and average about 1,000 miles a month.

    Cheers

Howdy everyone. I’ve been back living in SE Houston for about a year (Born here but left for a while). Getting a master degree at A&M Galveston. I️ did an AK trip in 2016 on my F700Gs but haven’t left the tarmac since. Would love to know if there is an adv oriented group situated in the area that I️ could get involved with and get back in the dirt. I’m still a novice off-road so some company would be great.

Thanks for the heads up and the link to the page. If I didn't have a due date for some school work on Monday I'd be able to attend for at least the camping and some meet and greet. I'll keep an eye on that forum and this one for future opportunities. I'm just happy to be in the conversations now. Been meaning to do this for a little while.

Anyone in the East Texas region have a place where I can stage a bike for a trip down south?
