Where is that? I know that place but can’t remember where I saw it.

So the tag...it’s on a road named after a popular dance in which consists of 4 couples. The “caller” determines the sequence of steps including but not limited to “circle left”, “allemande left”’ “ do si do”, and “right and left grand”. If you are old enough you may recall it from hell week in grade school where they made us learn dances in gym class.

On a different note: Jon and I went down to the hill country over the weekend and rode the Twisted sisters. That was an awesome ride. On the way down we rode over Regency Bridge, which was worth going out of the way for.

    Starting on 336.

Pictures just don’t do it justice:

A couple creek crossings on Hackberry Road.

Just watch out for deer. We rode 335 at 8 am and we must have seen close to 100 deer. Luckily there were only two trying to cross the road and they were nice enough not to jump out in front of us.

We went by Enchanted Rock between Fredericksburg and Llano on the way to Coopers BBQ. Great road. Long curves with lots of elevation changes. You will come over a hill and the view just open up in front of you.

Then there is Coopers! It’s no Pecan Lodge but it is some of the best BBQ in Texas! I recommend the sausage and burnt ends. Jon said the chicken was really good too.

And the jalapeño bacon Mac and cheese will make you want to slap your mama!

    Tail of the Dragon

I need to go to the hill country sometime. I’ve never been. I always go to Arkansas so I don’t have to deal with traffic going south.
Looks like y’all had a blast.

The first trip is like a drug, once you break your usual barrier, you just can't get enough. You'll then find you self making a 1600 mile round trip just to ride an 11 mile stretch of road, and as soon as you home your planning the next one. :D
It all starts with one hit called a day trip...:rofl

Well now that I have ridden the Twisted Sisters I have to ride the Dragon :drif ....Just to compare. Anyone up for a trip this spring? Mine started with a day trip to Tulsa just to get a pic with the Rt 66 sign. That thing is huge. Then it was an overnight to college station. After that I wanted to see just how far I could go. 1000 miles in less than 24 hours? check! I am feening for the 48 states in 10 days and a trip to Prudhoe Bay. I am guessing this is what a junkie feels like.

Hi my name is Raider and I'm a ride-holic.:photog
I'm only good for about 350 a day on the tiger depending on scenery and types of road I'm traveling on. I went 900 miles just to get a t-shirt on my Harley in less than 13 hours once. If I could take enough time off work I'd love to ship or u haul my bike to the east coast somewhere and take a week or week and half to ride back. Maybe the eastern half of the TAT.

The Dragon was awesome until closer to lunch when a lot of people were on it. I bet I took more turns in the 300 mile loop I rode that day then I do in 6 months of riding around this area.

We should meet up one weekend or evening to eat, plan, and do a little riding.
