Indeed. Excellent idea. I might steal it for my own monstrous creations in the future. >_>
Good,I have all this build in my ahead ( along with my next one ) so sometimes it's hard to get it on paper/puter screen !!.
I gotta hand it to you. You just DON'T give up......
I will figure this out, come hell or high water!!!.
I got a full day in the shed today, sick Friday and Saturday.I built my swingarm today.I used 2.5x1.5x120 tube and plated one side with 3x1/4 plate.Next weekend I will build the caliper mount and shock mount.
That should do a great job.
I hope so, Jay at DMC uses 1.5x1.5x120 so I think this should be flex free. What size did you use for yours??.
1x4 solid and it is holding up great. Took it through 12" flowing over a low water crossing and the exhaust sounded awesome. It was only 30 yards wide.
WOW,1x4 solid BETTER work great !!,thats a mans peice of steel !!.
Looking good Alan.
It's comming together, slowly but surely. The big Rally is in the middle of May so it has to be done and sorted by then.Lets see if I can get the best of show award at it this year to??..Probably not,it might be alittle to
" Mad Max " for the older folks!!.
So I've made alot of progress.I got the swing arm down and the shock tower done.I hope to have the frame ready to REattach to the bike by Sunday night.
I like them high performance hex spacers to shorten the caliper bolts. It took me a long time to fabricate mine.
Just for mock up,allen head ones in my truck at work.Amazing how they were the exact size I needed!!.
I like the welding table!
No really, I'm going to have to do something similar.
I bought the top of a old welding table for 10 cents a pound and then painted my wooden bench with some old fire proof paint ( pink!!! ) and it works great.
So you're going to take your allen head caliper bolts out of your work truck to put em on the hack?
Screw work, ride bikes!
My Freightliner doesn't need any stinken brakes !!!!!.I got some bolts at work and there RIDING around in my truck!!.
Alan I love how you are doin here. Persevering till the dream becomes real.
I'm on a mission to see this thru.I didn't get any work down last night,my grandduaghter was born last night so things are a little crazy here right now.
