I came to this thread rather late in the day but I've just read it from start to finish over the last few days and I'm very impressed with your ingenuity and perseverance. Well done.

Thank you, this build has taken it's toll on me and my wife.Although it's been fun and a learning experience I don't see myself ever doing it again.Yesterday I attempted to put a new tire on the car, although I have changed about 20 tires with my HF tire changer this had me stumped!!.It took over 1 hour to get the beead broken on the old tire!!,I finally had to use a 4 ton press to do it.After the bead was broke I could not get the tire off, someone had put a tube in it and the tube became one with the rim.I finally had to cut the tire off the wheel with a sawsall and a cut off wheel. The new tire had been hanging in the shed for about a year so when I mounted it it would NOT seat!!.I tried every trick, lighter fluid, ratchet strap etc but no go.I finally put a tube in it and it worked fine.About 2 hours later I was in the house when I heard a big POP and a rush of air.I went out to find the tire flat!!.I pulled the tire off AGAIN and found the tube split down the seam about 4" !!.So after 6 hours of F<>#%in around with this I ordered NEW shinko 712 from BikeBandit last night !!.

The tube goes in the tire unmounted and both lay in the sun aired up for a while. At least that how I've done older car tires.

Most of the time I store unmounted tires with pieces of 2x4's in them but not this one!!.It's Seattle, storing in the sun isn't a option most of the time!!.hehe

Today I got the NEW hack tire mounted, what took me 4+ hours last weekend ( and it never seated) took me 15 minutes today!!.I also fabed up a new front fender,I will clean it up tomorrow and roll on some bedliner,I also made up a new rear turn signal on the car.The rig is basically ready to go but I would like to do a few more things.

Nice. That's the kind of fix I'd have done, too (still might!) :p

I got the front fender done today,I left it alittle high for a knobby in the future.I might drill 4 more holes so the fender can sit lower for street tires.

Do your chair passengers have any trouble getting in and out with the shock mount in the way like that?

Could they be laid down? Shorter shocks?

We have alot of crowned roads here ( lots of rain ) this bar helps me
Keep it straight without wearing out my arm.I used it on my Vstrom rig on 80 mile straight crowned road and it worked great..

Got a pair of 712's delivered from Bike Bandit last week. They arrived the same day that I got back into town, along with a pair of replacement angled valve stems. Sooooo...Friday I levered on the rear tire and it went on quickly. Nice tire and I put about 30 miles on it. Need to put the front on next when I get back to town again.

    Thanks for the referral. :clap
