Where abouts are you? I'm in Totenham. Wondering if you're the guy I spoke to few years back that was a flag man for the steam train crossing.
Sent you a PM, I might be interested.

it needs some work to get it thru its MOT but nothing major.

i've been riding a TDM850 for a couple of years and wanted something for a RTW style trip.
this bike came up at half what i was looking to pay so i grabbed it.

more pics to follow when i have it on the road:D

We never get the cool bikes :cry

I would love to have a Yamaha.

Maybe a yellow R6? but there aren't many curves here.

    FJR, no, not for me

FZ1 OK maybe, but I am not a fan of UJM

    What is happening at Yamaha?

Have just bought this with the aim of improving it!! Already have a 850 tdm engine to slot in, which will have a dynojet stage 2 and K&N filters and a set of decent knobblies for some grip, and will also jack up the suspension for a bit more ride height. Then will have to decide on a paint scheme.

Its a 1989 so is knocking on a bit now and as i plan to compete it then needs to be made a bit more competitive plus in old blighty tends to be a bit more twisty and muddy so need a bit more grip!

Thought I'd share a photo of my beast with you all :D
I'm newish to biking on the road, just passed my test about 6 months ago now. Took my first long distance trip on it earlier this month. A 1000 mile round trip from England back up home to Scotland for a wee holiday. After worrying about how I'd cope after so long sitting in the saddle, by the time I got up the road I didn't want to stop, could have kept on going for hours more! :1drink

This was taken on the way to a camp site, not the best condition bike you'll have ever seen, but it was cheap, it runs beautifuly, and I love it :clap

It'd be almost worth living in the UK to get one of those, (just kidding) another great bike I'll never get to ride.
