    well, i'll be damnd!
went over to my bike to check for the washer.
didn't realy think i needed to as mine is 95'.
    no washer what so ever!
that might explain the cracks and breaks iv'e had.
tomorow i'll try and order one.
can i use something else instead?

First think that comes to my mind in your case is that probably your bike is not '95. You can check this out considering its (original) colouring. I found a list with the years and the colours once somewhere on the net.

I wanted to make copies of the washer once but the thing has a little weird shape and it's not a really a no brainer to copy.

    Good luck!

P.S. Maybe you can make yourself only the round part of it as a compromised cheap solution...don't know if it works the same like this though.

That's EXACTLY where mine failed... I welded it back then. To be honest not that much of a difference before and after welding but I caught the crack in the very start so maybe that's why it felt "the same".

I was looking at one last year as a project,(of which I must try and find his number) but the s10 had the same exhaust as this one, I actually thought it was just made up and put on, now that I see a clean version, it's not that bad, would love a listen from it

looks like he shaved it, clean cut under the reg plate!

    Hej Orlando

Hippy from Holland told me you'd asked for me, thanks for the comp, let me find some clear pics, i just grabbed a hecksaw and cut of the back rack halfway, bolted a used fender of an old cr 250 to it, welded a lincenseplate holder from stainless halway under the rearsaddle, and copied the desertlights of the factory Dakar bikes the way they made them in the eighty's, let me find some pics...hold on buddy
Are you also coming to the international XTZ 750 Supertenere meeting?

Hola Orlando, i'm curious, what kind of bike did you get?
Oh this is the meeting http://www.motor-forum.nl/forum/list_messages/327175/XTZ750-supertenere-MEETING-20-en-19-mei-1.html
Its an XTZ 750 only meeting, there's lots of guys from the UK coming as well.
What kind of mods were you doing to the XTZ? (its money well spend) (and i'm not saying this because i own one,but when modified properly there's not many bikes that have the all around quality's of the 3LD)
SHould come too, there's many 3LD enthousiast from all over Europe, with bikes in many different stages of modification. maybe we can get JCO over as well!:freaky
