The FireFox Add-on Autopager will download upcoming pages in the background. I bet this would solve your problem.

Autopager works with vBulletin? If so, that's brilliant! :clap

Recent updates to the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox broke this script. I believe I've fixed the issue, and the script has been updated to version 1.3.

    To install the update...
    1. Go to Tools -> Greasemonkey -> Manage User Scripts...
    2. Select "ADV Ride Report De-crufter" from the list on the left, then click Uninstall.
    3. Then click here to install the new version.

Any Chrome power users who can help me out?

Supposedly, a new extension called Blank Canvas adds additional Greasemonkey support to Chrome. It's possible that this extension could allow Chrome users to reap the benefits of the ADV RR De-crufter.

    Go here:
    https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/pipnnjjknlabchljabhmnpdfpdobpnkk?hl=en-US

Install the extension, then go here:
    http://bolty.net/files/adv_ride_report_de-cruft.user.js

    And install the script.

This ain't for the faint of heart, but then again, you're probably not faint of heart if you're using Chrome.

Let me know how it turns out, willya?

tbolt...first, thanks for the bolty.net scripts for greasemonkey. They are awesome. Have been using them for some time with FF. Plus, I have purused your blog and have enjoyed the posts there as well. Good work.

Saw your post for trying the Greasemonkey scripts in Chrome. Just installed successfully Blank Canvas on my machine. Then clicked on your link and did the install. Got a good msg that said it was installed.

But...it isn't working to de-cruft. Noticed that I didn't have any scripts when I click on the Blank Canvas Script handler button, so I created a new script and cut-n-paste your script into the window and tried again. No go.

Let me know if I can help out any more here.

RAGBrian: thanks for the compliments, I'm always glad to hear folks are enjoying the scripts and the ol' blog.

And, thanks very much for trying Blank Canvas/Chrome. I've been a bit busy so I haven't had a chance to try it out for myself.

Don't hold your breath for a Chrome version. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty busy and I don't have time to re-write this script for a browser I never use. Money, however, would talk. :evil

I've heard the scripts do not work in BlankCanvas. If you still want to try, use the download link in the first post to download a copy of the script.

Works well for this. Removes the "xxx is on your ignore list" collapsed posts and also any posts that quote "xxx". Only way you can tell is by gaps in the post count for unaffected posts. I think if you install into firefox it'll ask you to specify the includes. If installing into Chrome, you need to manually edit the script before dragging it onto the browser. I may have changed Includes to Match also for Chrome, I forget.

    What browser?

If it's Firefox, what do you see in Tools, addons?
Go you see Greasemonkey? if so, what do you see if you open Greasemonkey and click options?

PM me if you want some handholding, but there won't be no kissin' :evil

It still works for me. :D

I don't plan on making any fixes until the "upgrade" hoo-haa dies down, whenever that is.

Fez, if you're still having troubles, it would be helpful for me to know which browser you're using, and if you've got the latest version of Greasemonkey and the De-crufter script.

Well it doesn't seem to be consistent for me. Some threads it's there others not. I'm on FF 3.6.10 and current on greasemonkey.

I'm sure it's due to the changes and aren't really that worried about it. Just that it's so useful I really miss it when it's gone.
