Signed up! Looks like the Northeast is fairly well covered, but if anyone gets stuck in northern VT...

Thanks for the heads up! My host recently migrated the server and it seems to have caused some obscure problems. I'll be working on it over the weekend.

nice, will check it out later.

great project you are running there, thank you!

May I ask for the reasoning behind the Sign-In via email system? Are there benefits over a standard username and password solution?

I don´t really mind it, just curious...

In the biz it's called serverless passwords. It's getting more an more popular for a few reasons.

1: We don't store passwords (or much of any identifiable info). So theirs little to gain in attempting to hack the site.
2: Its one less username / password you have to remember.
3: Hopefully, your email password is both strong and unique (meaning you don't use it elsewhere).

Assistancelist isn't meant for anybody to access more than a couple of times per year. Which means most users will forget and have to recall their passwords anyway.

All this adds up to good reasons for the method we use.

Extremely odd. Do me a favour. Navigate to the site, on the home page, press [CONTROL][F5] (at the same time). This will flush the cache in your browser for my site only. Then try again.

I know there were no problems with the site yesterday (its very VERY rare), in fact, there were a handful of signup yesterday with no issues.

I just tried that with Firefox and IE. I just logged in with Chrome and instead of a blank screen for that specific URL I got: "The www.assistancelist.com page isn't working" "www.assistancelist.com is currently unable to handle this request." "HTTP ERROR 500". So it indicates a server side error. I don't have any proxies configured that could be messing with redirection and I'm only using the built in Windows firewall under Win10. wonder if my account is corrupt in whatever back-end DB you are using. Let me know if you want to wipe me clean and I'll start over and see what happens. Thanks!

Add-ON: I just tried from my iPad and it does the same thing. First time going to the website from that device so the cache wouldn't contain anything along with any cookies you may or may not use.

This is a fantastic project with an unbelievable scope! I have signed up and-- as usual with me and technology-- somehow lost my way. Email sent to assistancelist.com

Looking forward to having access on my next international trip...leaving in 3 weeks!
