A guy can dream, right?
R1200RT, that happened last time there was a major update to the GS
I can get behind that, so I can buy a camhead R12RT.
I think the updated RT usually comes a year after the GS. The RT was just recently updated, so I don't think there will be a new one announced this year.
If my memory serves me correctly both the GS and RT got the camhead engine in 2010. They were not a year apart. Seems to me a good chance that if BMW were to do that again they would release at the different shows to maximise publicity.
The next RT is supposed to be completely redesigned and given they just changed it in 2010 as you noted and the fact that a wethead GSA is a year away, I sincerely doubt you'll see a redesigned RT wethead next year. The 2010 camhead was a midcycle refresh, so perhaps that's why the GSA and RT got the engine all at the same time, but history has shown on new bike models it starts with GS and then goes to the other R bikes at least a year afterwards.
Can't wait to see how the waterboxer RT measures up against the new Trophy.
Aussie dealer said the Wet GS will land early 2013. They are taking orders , expect delivery March. We should start to see some ride reports soon !
Two more reasons NOT to call it a wet head.
Oh I don't know, it could make you cry when it breaks and some guys round here are getting a bit excited.
I'd suspect a Bavarian can of
Depending on who you are, and how you look at it. Those are two good reasons TO call it a Wethead!
I did some Photoshop ...
Both curves adjusted to diferent scales looks something like this
Not sure ... was this seen ?
Wethead is Ok as such but why the totaltarian dogmatic decision by a few or for that one?
It's a German bike but it's not 1939, whatever you do don't mention the war!!!!
Put it to a vote with a deadline.
Moderating is not forcing your views upon others, or is it?
Rise up to fight the oppressor (s)!!
The hell - someone do more to your cherrios this morning than piss in them?
T'were anything up for a vote I'd go for something referencing the spork. Or combine them like Wasser spork or would that be spork-wasser?
Id wanted to make a reference to the fork tailed devil (Lockheed P-38) but couldn't quite get fork nosed devil to come out in German.
I am sorry, Sir, to tell you that battle is over, and if you aren't a wethead, you lost.
Don't believe me?
