Discussion in 'GS Boxers' started by Dorsicano, Feb 3, 2011.
has been discussed above....happened on Tuesday.
We in SA call the non spoke wheels ones the standard R1200GS and the ones with spokes and other few extras the Adventure model, they cost +/- R10 000 more than the standard model.
Some more pics of the day
F700GS mixed in with the big boys
Jeff, Thanks for posting....are you there at the event?
I took these pics on wed 23rd while they were still setting up for the event, yes I realized my mistake, thanx for the Fix, I have no idea how to edit the post, just thought I would share with some BMW fans
Yes I live close by, I'm not from the press, just at the right place, right time
With what has happened, I assume they are packing up. Did you go over there today?
Some more iPhone pics
I can see they spend a few bucks on these press releases
No I went to the Beach, just heard the news when I arrived back home, very sad, a few people were allready driving the bikes up and down Herolds Bay before the Press Release, so this could have happend on wed or Thursday
based on the opening paragraph i'm happy that i put a deposit down......
back to the article.....
edit: could this be the bike that replaces my MTS and GS?
From ther Motorcyclist review...The engine is a little less tractor-like in slow, off-road situations, and where the quick-revving new engine benefits with increased midrange or high rpm power, it is a little bit less friendly when lugging through a tricky section of dirt.
Yeah, right. We were all expecting the new engine to feel like a 3-cylinder engine or an inline 4, it's a boxer.
I'll bet it doesn't it take 20W50 oil anymore.
Hopefully then maybe I can buy one of your pristine rides......
Actually I am eagerly anticipating more reviews of this new GS as well. I think I am going into the market within the year for either a GS new maybe older or the Multi but I can't make up my mind yet....and life circumstances only allow one bike at a time for now.......damn being responsible can sure get in the way of having fun......
Stubled on WC R1200GS accessories
Video review of the GS and Touratech farkles, unfortunately in german. Maybe some rider that knows the language could make us a summary in english ?
Same accessories as U.S.
Use the CC button and turn on German captions, then click on translate captions and turn to English.
