At 52 seconds..."we've had a problem with your bike and are just putting the driveshaft back together now" :eek1

I thought he was just messing with him when he made that comment in the video, maybe I read him wrong?

Oh...haha, I hope so. I was surprised to see it in the video if indeed they had a problem, so you may be right.

A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don’t do one. Classic movie quote :deal

I know we were kidding him about final drives and splines when we met up with them in Christchurch

I sat on it today ... :deal

It feels like we sit 2 inches backward compared to the previous model. Instrument cluster looks further towards the front.

There's a 1/8" bleading hole on the left hand side of the motor in case water pump's seal fails.

    Looks realy promising.

You know, one can always buy a Multistrada or a KTM or a Triumph Explorer. It doesnt have to be the GS monicker (GS = Great Shakes :D )

Sorry to disapoint, but this is NOT a stunt; This is just fun testing by a normal enthusiast guy. Nothing more.
That was my first hour of testing the bike on the edge of the Mekong River, in Vientiane - LAOS, the day before Alessio arrive...

Then you don't have sense of humour... That my way of being. Joking of everything. Pretending the 2 bikes fall off the truck...

But well, I think I loose my time here trying to share fun experience...

    Cheers

No you're not. Don't take your fun so seriously. We're just joshin' around. I am sure the bike can jump like that all day.

But why do you think they picked on the Shaft drive to joke about? :hmmmmm

If that is you Eric, I take back my PhotoShop comment. I fully believe it is not a stunt and can imagine you joking about the driveshaft in that way (sorry, I missed the "analyst" reference). The pics and video have been fantastic. Good luck and keep it up.

Exactly, what's with this place. I thought these guys on here were meant to know what they're talking about:lol3 As if BMW would release a bike in 2013 with such a flaw at a time when the model is so important. People keep banging on about the old fInal drive issue (when BMW had virtually no competition, and when the BMW motorcycle division consisted of about 3 models), but all the repetitive points about head shake are just getting boring.

See my comment above. You're obviously on some kind of crusade against the new GS. Your posts are getting tedious now.

I didn't think it could be that bad until I started reading it. There really is not one coherent sentence all the way through?
