I dont think black bars would look that good, as the frame is silver. Now, when the Triple Black version comes out next year, that would be the time for black bars:clap

Note I edited my post above requesting something else too. :D

    Thanks. Not bad.
I prefer black usually because I like such a protruding thing "hidden" in the shadows as much as possible.

Well triple black is nice (I love black, pitty the dark 2013 GS is maybe the worse color, after blue), but my 2007 black GS also has silver frame but black bars look fine.

75 pounds less on the Tuono (give or take) and a chain drive more than makes up for that. :)

Initially I was going to go for black, but the silver looks better on the current versions.

Maybe, but (strangely enough?) even my 100HP GS has taught a few lessons to similar bikes.
Maybe I was lucky, maybe they were (all) cases of useless riders, still the differences are not that much to compensate.
I mean if there was a huge power and ESPECIALLY handling difference between a tuono (as an example) and GS, then even that cr*ppy tuono rider would still win. Right?

That said, there has been at least one case were a scooter rider has kicked my b*tt. :rofl
(ok in traffic and acting like there was no home to go back to)

I went for the BMW bars, but notice that the Touratech uppers are compatible, so can always add them later, once my bank balance has recovered.:rofl

For a change, the BMW engine guards look like they offer better protection than the Touratech ones.. With the TT, the valve cover is wide open and you need to add the valve cover protector.

I know, also ordered one. But the Touratech accesoires are in general a bit cheaper than the BMW ones. Protection bars a 100 euro less and the fog lights are 300 euro's less.

We have yet to see a review that actually demos new GS light system (LED and no LED).
If I am wrong correct me.

Makes sense since AFAIK no presentation was made yet that allowed night riding (?).

Let's hope this gets "fixed" soon.

Maybe Baluchon could rectify this when he goes for the next One World trip?

Shawn wrote that they had a light on a pivot to play with and it was very bright. But a review from actual usage would be nice indeed.

I also think the bars would need to be removed for valve checks/adjustments. If you look closely, the bars hide the rocker cover bolts :puke1

I've seen them in action during the motor show, bright, but in a well lit rom I can't make a judgement.

I emailed my local dealer to get a final price put in an order, but I never heard back. I guess I have to go there in person with a couple stacks of high society.

Yep, they may be coming alright, but as far as a test ride is concerned, here in Spain they don't know what that means and the dealers just smile and :rofl at you when you suggest a test ride. If you were to ask for one directly as you would normally do in any other civilized European country, they would look at you as if you had just landed from Mars.

What the F@ck is up with Spain? Apart from it's current corruption saga!

P.S. When one of you guys buy one, any chance of a test ride?

I think they are just running them in.

There are a couple (at least) in Greece too but not given for test ride.
