My dealer is reporting the same thing...no premium plus and no spoked wheels in the initial batch.

For all the guys and girls that like to torture themselves while waiting for the delivery (I have this picture of waving nice, crispy bacon in front of a starving Ethiopian child :p ) few little updates:

    Audioporn ;) :

Short clip from Touratech (I have a sneaky feeling I've seen this somewhere before, but what the hell, nobody minds, do You ? ;) )

This weekend I'm going to a motorcycle expo in Oslo where the new GS will be and also few companies presenting farkles (TT and some local ones) so I'll be running and rolling around like a cat high on catnip :D Anything You guys would like me to check out or ask around ?

You should be ashamed of yourself doing this to me. :cry

As for expo... Check if anybody is making (or looking into making) any... performance tweaks for the new GS. :evil

Take lot's of photos and HD videos. :1drink

I know I have nothing to complain about as mine is due in around 2 weeks, but the wait is getting tough now. Especially hearing about lots of people picking up their new bikes tomorrow and Saturday here in the UK.:cry:lol3

33 days here. Hmm.. I think I'll write myself a widget for the phone counting down the seconds :p

NLS, Np. I'll ask and make pictures. HD videos might be a problem, I don't have the equipment, but I might try to supply some decent quality potato recorder stuff ;)

Well you guys, at least yours is coming.
    Better than me. :)

I do remember the feeling though (both my BMW were bought new build to order - the only vehicles I ever bought new actually)... My current GS, back in 2007, I watched it a whole weekend in the shop's window, as it did arrive but paperwork wasn't finished yet. Since the (closed now) shop was like 500m from my home, I am not sure HOW many times I went there during that weekend.

Let's hope crisis "relaxes" a bit in the next 2 years and I MIGHT start thinking of replacing. In the meantime, I need to keep paying my mortgage, plus the HUGE taxes that are to pay for Merkel's next elections.

(always open to donations though :D seems some people don't know what to do with their money - well here I am :clap)

Thanks for the proposal. I have left development years ago and will need a strong refresh to go back to it (which btw I consider a shame, as in my 29 years in computing, I consider coding the ONLY REAL computing).
Plus is tough to leave this weather and family.
Now if the money is fantastic, I might just start re-teaching myself from as soon as this evening. :evil

Even if with your experience senior dev would be a bit of a step back, think around 80 000 - 90 000 eur at the beginning and towards 120 000 in the next few years after going into team/dep management ;)

Just think, good weather and no bike to ride on, or well... crappy weather + good economics that doesn't give a shit about EU hickups, and a bike that you can drive to good weather :D

Btw. You can probably find job as a consultant too, a lot of companies don't require norwegian, just english. LinkedIn or (nav.no and finn.no) + google translate are your friends.

Just PM me if You come to some conclusion or have some questions :)

I bought my first BMW last year after taking a couple for a test drive. I love the F650GS I bought, but riding two up was not so great let alone comfortable for wife. I got the green light and ordered mine last week here in Pennsyvania. The dealer told me yesterday the premium packages and spoked wheels will be in the next batch. He said late March to early April. I can't wait. Keep the pictures ane videos coming.

I ordered the Blue with the low seat (I'm 5'9") with all the goodies.

Hmm so if I mention the word porn here you won't be able to see that one too ? :rofl

That's better than here, but we only see our net income and not our gross. Since it would be way to depressing... Think about nearly 50% taxes with on top of that some social contributions for the employer. :eek1

My Dakar (which was a taller single-cylinder F650GS, related very much to current G650GS Sertao) actually was more comfortable for wife than my R1200GS. It also had the "low" seat (which was actually the "normal" seat of the plain F650GS), as I am not tall too (something like 5'11" in your WEIRD measuring system). That seat was fantastic. Had to say this. :)

My 12GS has "ok" seat but still consider it worse than that great seat. 2013 GS has changes in that department, let see how these prove to be.

    Anybody speaking German?
    Anything we haven't heard before?
I won't ask if they liked it, the closing of the video gives a pretty huge hint in international language.

Interesting, I heard completely different. My model will be fully loaded with the comfort and the dynamic package. LED's are approved and ready to go.

The usual. bike rebuilt, great, new engine, more aggressive, new ergonomics typical blabla that we heard 50 times by now.
One new thing is that the heated grips work very well, what was tested by -5C.

No problem, I just need to switch computers for that. The laptop from the office refuses, my personal laptop and tablet are entirely free.

Office laptops are a poisonous gift. You can't do everything with it and you can use it to work from home during your free time...
