Mine has arrived in the UK, is in the Shop (Cannon BMW in Essex, top people so they are, my 3rd bike in 2 years) awaiting valet ~ boxes, bars & Akra already fitted, R&G crash protection as per Duffs and, I must say, I'm very excited, great machine.

Will be there to collect at 08:01hrs sharp tomorrow.

    In the rain.

No testing yet. Are you volunteering?

Kidding. The truth is that this type of attachment has been used on most side carriers that SW-MOTECH has developed in the past 12 years. I have not heard of anyone having this happen to them.

Enjoy the test ride! I don't see the Panigale in your signature anymore, so I guess it has been sold?

Why not just order a 2014 model from the dealer. I am sure he could place one one.

Ok, couldn't remember from the 2013 I test rode :D

Seems the instrument panel is identical for 2014s in this case.

50% chance of rain tomorrow... which means 50% chance it won't rain :D

Yes it hurt to take my new bike out in the rain on its second day in my hands... but only for about 12 seconds.

Enjoy it! post a few pics!

That's correct, EJ, on to the next one. Although there's a new/used one (demo) in Las Vegas that would make for a great fly 'n ride.

Hope you're having fun on yours.

Does anyone know whether the damper is retrofittable to the '13 model?

That one no (the mount points are missing), but 3rd party solutions most probably can.

Financially unviable might be more accurate - you'd need to replace about €1,500 of suspension parts and then buy the damper (no cost currently listed) if you wanted BMW's.

    Indeed.

Plus, if you wanna do all this, better get a better one anyway (adjustable).
(which will eventually happen with the stock mount points anyway by some 3rd party)

My heated grip switch and mode button are not working. Has anyone been into the right hand switchgear to see how things hook up. Any idea what size torx driver is needed to take it apart?

I don't know why anyone would bother retro fitting one.:huh

It's a good excuse to change bikes once the special editions come out next year!:D I've already warned my wife that this WILL happen!:rofl
