Some nice roads run through Townsend. I pass through it a couple of times a year.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Sounds like this is not an issue on the GSW.

Interestingly enough I've never ridden in New England. Well dirt bikes but never on the road. I left in 1990 and didn't get into street riding until 2007. I've never made the journey back to New England on a bike. Close but not quite there.

Allow me to add my voice to those who say that heat has not been an issue on the GSW. FYI, I happened to ride it through Townsend on 119 just last week.

Hey guys, anybody servicing the bike at home?
    Any tricks or tips?
    Best oils/ coolant if necessary?
Any word on the new interface for GS-911?
    Thanks in advance

I've ridden in 103 degrees and I didn't notice any hot spots on the bike. This is something I'm actually concerned about, but BMW got this right on this bike.

Thanks! It's strange how much this issue is bothering me on my S10. I've just never connected with this bike like I did with my Wee (that sounds a bit strange) . :rofl

BBY has the fluids, but not a full kit yet because there is no aftermarket plugs for it.

The new GS-911 equivalent will be out soon.

There should be a video out in a couple months demonstrating the service processes.

"Generally" it is not recommended with a wet clutch, but there are exceptions.

The specs are in the back of the owners manual. SAE 5W-40, API SL / JASO MA2

Find an oil that matches and have fun.

Nice one - just googled it... although doesn't seem to be readily available on our island... will keep an eye out.

There seems to be a number of aviation products being marketed for vehicular use, ACF-50 for example, absolutely tip top stuff.

Odd... Commuted daily in Tokyo's sweltering summer on my S10 and experienced no heat-related discomfort.

I get this comment a lot and I have no idea why mine is so different. I have others that is bothers and some stating "what heat?". I'm sorry but there's no way on my bike you can ride it and not notice it.
