That black Delage has quite a history. Originally belonged to Lord Howe, then Richard Seaman, who was killed driving a Mercedes GP car before WWII.

It's kind of unique and well-known. I'm surprised it's on this side of the pond.

Ours were 3000 hp each, and drove a single shaft with 2 pinions on one bull gear and had electric clutches. Maneuvering combination was one engine running ahead and the other one astern and selecting direction via clutch engagement. We never had any big problems with them.

This is on the GSF Explorer origanly built by Howard Hughes to to pick a Russian sub up off the ocean floor with a claw. It was converted in the late 90s to a deep water drill ship

Very nice indeed.... I see these days here in Ulster you can pick various derivatives at anything up to £1500-£4000 ish....

I always liked the XJS and thought they were ahead of their time...

Thanks for posting such a fine example...

    :D

Don't know if it is exactly the same engine but I was looking through the window at out municipal power plant and saw something very similar with a Norberg placard. Big mother!

I haven't been all through this thread, so I don't know whether you're into this kind of thing, but here is a triple you probably won't see in your buddy's Triumph.
