    Another option to consider...

I was able to take pictures of the route sheet using my smartphone.
Then I could scroll thru them while on the ride...
Not a fully rugged and waterproof solution, but worked for me.

My smartphone is powered and in a semi-waterproof case..
as can be seen at the very end of the video I posted.

The phone case had a lot of foam backing so that helped with vibration.

    P.S.
You could also use the Google Docs app to scan pictures into a pdf file
if you more of a tech-e like the swartz...

I have been trying to get a BZR holder for years
I always seem to get up there after the fellow that sells them has left !
is it possible to get them directly from someone ?
    Thanks

"Here is how to get a BZR Route Sheet Holder other than in person at an event. (via USPS snail mail )

    413-386-8875 or 413-357-8740

They attend all NETRA Enduros and most Turkey Runs so you could get one at those events also."

Hey: IMHO, the Garmin Montana 600 with 24K Topo maps is the best, most supported, and most used by adventure riders around the world.

But I sure someone here has a better unit to recommend. : )

You must have not done the Sunday ride. He was standing at the start with at least one in his hand, or you came in after us.

That would make more sense. I can't seem to get my drive gear to turn my cable. Hmmm. Maybe I'll work on fixing that instead.

As in years past, we ask that you not publish the routes. I know many of you had your GPS on, but please keep the files for yourself and don't distribute.

What a great ride! Meet some awesome people and saw some beautiful countryside. That 3.5 hero Sunday was a hoot on the big bikes and we could not have been luckier with the timing help arrived for what should have been a game ended. It couldn't have been scripted better. Will definitely come back for such a well organized event!!

@Motormom it was really nice to meet you and your husband, thanks so much for the interest in our trip.

@NYTrainer Hi Paul, so glad you came along with us. Very nice to have you along for that part of our trip. Wish we could have sat around a cold beer or two afterwards.

I think our group was 1st on scene so we stopped to render aid. Fortunately a local was already in contact with 911 and had additional help rolling. She wasn't traveling very quickly (why they were on that road with cruisers to start with I don't know). One of our riders has 1st responser training and jumped right in to find out the cruisers are all OR nurses so they had the situation in hand. She wasn't seriously hurt from what we gathered but she's gonna have a nice road rash on her face (1/2 shell helmet only protect 1/2 your noggin).

I've been using the app Gaia on my iPhone, works great for both creating a route, and following tracks. The app also lets you download maps for offline use. I had an old iPhone 4 that I run it on, use email to import.

I picked up a case from Ultimate Addons, has a Ram ball mount, an access port for charging, and is waterproof with the cord attached. I think I have less than $75 invested, and it's been great for wandering both off and on road.

Darkstar, thanks for the info. That scene has been on my mind since that day. I noticed that the bikes were out of place as well as the half helmet. Let's all hope she was OK. Her clothing wasn't torn up so I assumed that she hadn't slid or thrashed around, you confirmed that it was a slow moving incident. ATGATT! I used to ride in next to nothing and now I feel naked and paranoid if I'm not fully suited up.
