"Primitive camping whith no fires" is standard language in New England. These aren't put on at resorts, but often the start/finish/parking is on private lands (which are used by rare special permissions).
Show up, sleep if you have to, ride, repeat.

This was my first organized event back in '09. People I met during one night at the Prospect Mt. became great friends with many stories to tell.

Sure one can skip the ride to avoid $28 for campsite but the great friendships made are priceless!

Here's a shot from our cabin in 2012. The fellow in the back was lost in a motorcycle accident.....[IMG]
He was a motorcycle cop from NYC. Nicest guy ever!

p.s., that Jersey also looks familiar. This is from Lucille's in the Pine Barren's, during the Pine Barrens Adventure camp. Alas, another sad note: Lucille has passed!

Thanks for sharing. That's not the best angle but I will add to our riding picture collection :)

Hey a bunch of us NY guys did the Triple B last fall. I'm guessing it's similar? We were on KTM exc and Husaberg FEs though. Lots of trail miles. I rode this on a DR650 years ago and later on my LC4. There were more dirt roads and pavement then.

guess is a bit off. People do ride it on EXC's, but is not miles of trail. It's miles of dirt roads and skinny pavement with some hero sections thrown in that are mostly short sections of tougher roads. only a very few single track sections. It is nothing like the Triple B

So I'm better off riding my LC4 640 or even my Super Tenere?

I would certainly enjoy it more on my DR650 than my KTM400exc (I know where we're going)

I can't speak for the event organizers but in years past they didn't seem to have a limit. Usually numbers are around 100 maybe 150 bikes if I were to guess.

as per Jack Oconnor, everyones help is needed it only takes a minute to send the email regardless of where you live, attend the meeting on Fri if you can

The PPA and their cronies are at it again.

They convinced the Pine Lands Commission to vote on implementing the MAP plan they created.

The Pinelands Commission meeting is friday at 9, if you can make it great, we need bodies there to fight this. My buddy Mike Bradway has created "Ballistic BS" vests that will be distributed if necessary. grin emoticon

    Here's the scoop.

The Open Trails New Jersey folks are very actively involved in the fight to stop the MAP. They have posted a link to expedite the process of sending an email to the Commission opposing the coming resolution on Friday’s agenda that authorizes the Pinelands Commission to enact the MAP as is (yes, you read that right). I know that you have been spreading the word that we need folks to attend the meeting but we also want to flood their inbox. Please pass out the following link to your clubs. Submitting an email will take only a few minutes and will be very beneficial to our cause. This is especially important if cannot attend on Friday morning.

    http://www.opentrailsnj.org/provide-your-comments-to-the-p…/

All you have to do is show up at the Pinelands Commission

Sign in to comment, and say you are opposed to the MAP Plan when it's your turn to speak.
