Traded email with Stonewall last Friday and then put in the order. Got the email with the tracking number Monday morning... UPS says I'll have them on Friday.

Looking forward to using them! :clap

I've probably had it for 4 at this point. Works great. No leaks, no wear to speak of. It's been all around the U.S. on a 4 corners tour and been to Cabo twice, bunch of other places as well.

    Buy one already!

Arrived right on time - they look great!

Amusing side note. The instructions say that they've been squashed to make shipping easy, and that you should fill with hot water to allow the bag to 'relax' back to original shape. Ok, cool, I get to play with my new toys, I'm happy. (Damn amazing how much water you can put into one of those 24's! <GRIN>) Hmmm. Ok, so now I have however many gallons of water in a bag, in the sink. Hmmm. (pondering the mess I'm going to make pouring the water out of a fexible bag that's already the size of the sink.)

The water isn't going away on it's own - they are wonderfully water tight. I know! I'll just zip it up and carry it out side. (zip) Interesting! While the bag is water tight, the top zipper isn't at all! (water seaping out the closed zipper that had compressed the bag, flowing down the side of the bag, on to the counter where the bag was against the edge of the sink.) Ok, so much for not making a mess. :D

[Note to self, don't pack bag upside down. Try not to dump bike if bag is strapped on and full of ice melt.]

The good news was that once carried outside (and set aside), the hot water was still nice and hot when I remembered to dump it out a few hours later. :clap

Now the more important test... fill with chilled refreshments and enjoy!

    Thanks for the great service!

This is mine on the back of my v-strom back in '04. Several thousand miles and years later, still working like new...altho a little faded. I've actually had mine to freeze the soda's at times. bigbend2 (719 x 479).jpg

Just a quick testamonial to how well they keep things cold.

I used mine last weekend and forgot to empty it when I got home...fast forward to Wednesday and as I was putting my lawn mower away I spotted it on the bike and I decided I better empty it.

Mmmmm the beer was still cold, with a little bit of ice still remaining.:clap :clap :clap

And oh by the way it has been close to 100 the fast two days and probably even warmer in my garage!!!

It will hold 12 Corona's with some ice. But, you will get better results with 10 and more ice :deal , I know, it's tuff :cry to have to drink 2 of them to make room for more ice to benifit the other 10 :lol3 . It will fit into Jessie bag :clap .

Carried the 24 with me the last 3 weeks traveling thru AZ and down into Mexico and back... 100, 105, 112... starting off in the morning with bottles of frozen water, cold water, cold snacks. Strapped to the back of the bike, baking in the sun. End of the day, the frozen water was still half frozen... :1drink

(And did a really nice job packed with Pacifico and ice where we were staying. :freaky )

What is the difference between the Silver Solar Bear coolers and the majority of other coolers other than $5.00??

How long do they take to arrive??

Hey stonewall, how much longer will the silver ones keep things cold compared to the black ones? Is it worth the extra $5 (and having to carry around a bag that looks like it's supposed to be on the moon :rofl)?

As mentioned in an earlier post, Stonewall gets his orders out fast. Cooler arrived in time for our adventure and performed flawlessly. Kept shrimp cold enough that I didn't die or even become violently ill and it was cold enough in there to coagulate my cooking oil.:eek1

And, yes, I got the silver one. It looked right at home in Zion NP (maybe not the moon but very Mars like:lol3 ).

My theory: it might help reflect some of the heat out in the desert. Scientific? Not really. But if you two want to help fund a formal study I'll be happy to take my silver cooler and your favorite colored ones out for a ride and test them side by side.

Don't let that five dollar bill scare you off.:deal

Great product and even better service, Stonewall!:thumb Thanx!
