Another? I don't recall giving any hints on this one.
[EDIT] The picture was taken from a point that sounds like it has to do with higher education, but the seminary for which it was named closed over 150 years ago.
And in case it isn't painfully obvious, that's the NYC skyline in the background.
A map and a little logic ought to help.
Now get out 'n ride folks, or are we swinging from a competition of shortest tag turnaround to longest??
so freakin cold.
I got a plane in the frame, though its a bit of a streak.
Bonus points if you get the statue of liberty, batman, superman, the naked cowboy, or some other character to pose in your shot.
And the last tag was the view of Rikers Island and LaGuardia Airport as seen from College Point Shore Front Park at the corner of 5th avenue and 115th street in Flushing Queens.
Very nice shot, UXC, your new tag was on my list also but I doubt I could've done it justice like that. Nice.
Now that it's below freezing, and way too dangerous to ride with the black ice all over the place, is it O.K. to resort to file photos?
Just kidding. UrbanXCountry, again great photo. You must use a tripod for those timed available light shots, huh?
I'd go in and get the tag tonight, but it's too cold, and the Texas Tech/Oklahoma game is just too good to give up!
Thanks vfr. I figured it'd get tagged eventually.
Sorry, doc. It's never cold enough for file photos in my book. But in all truth, this has got to be one of the warmest tags you can get right now. The buildings, subways and such keep it pretty toasty. Rikers Island, on the other hand, nearly froze my fingers off while trying to get a shot. It was super windy out there too. I felt like I was losing traction getting blown about in the wind coming back. And yes, I either use a tripod or rest the camera on a flat surface for the night shots. I like my pixels crisp.
If you don't feel like getting off your bike in the middle of this intersection, you can get this shot as an alternative. You might be called a pussy, though.
I gotta start bringing a tripod when I do these things.
looks like doc may be taking this tag into Jersey. I got "bruced" today @ the LI tag o rama. Winter sucks !
NO, NO, NO! I don't have the tag. I clearly stated my photo was a file photo. It doesn't count. I better stop doing this. Sorry. I guess the file photos really do confuse, even when pointed out.
So, the tag is still obviously UrbanXCountry's.
Unless people want to change the rule for the winter and allow file photos till it warms up a little. Might be fun in this virtual reality world we live in.
Again, sorry for the confusion. Someone else go and get the tag! As UrbanXCountry points out, the area is naturally heated by the sewer grates and subway vents. Ask any homeless person!
Sorry bout that Doc, I went to public school so reading really isnt a strength of mine. I should have read it through instead of looking @ the pretty picture.
This was a 3AM Five Boro ride to Dim Sum in December 2005.
urbancowboy, elchulopadre (who is moving back to NY), and gasgaseffinfast.
46th and Broadway.
Do I get the extra credit for getting the Statue of Liberty in the shot?
Here is the new tag. I don't think you guys will need a hint.
HAHAHA. Extra credit, indeed! Good job!
this really really sux
grabbed the tag, no really i did, and i can not get the image to come up on adv. messed with it for a few hours last nite. gave up thought it was cause i was tired.

Nice one Roy!
(Now lets see if he posts another tag this week...)
