Tengai, here "Dat":
The New Goethal's Bridge
6th Avenue, Old Place, near the Old Place Creek Park
Just a word of caution, if you want to go check this out... Doc wasn't kidding when he said look out for falling debris! This location is on a truck route (at first I didn't think I was allowed to go down this road). I circled the block because a port authority cop was following me the first time I drove past it. I had to jump a (new?) sidewalk onto a gravel temporary road, that turned back into (what I'm guessing is the "old") 6th Ave. There's a little bridge (pictured) where I was pretty sure the original tag was taken from. I literally had to jump out of the way of a steady stream of dump trucks to get this photo... hahaha. Maybe I should have gone on a weekend. I got a few "WTF" looks from the truckers, too [is this guy lost?... is that bike broken down?... I must have looked like I missed the turn to the bridge, lol]. I tried to leave by heading down to the south end of 6th Ave, but the pavement disappeared, and I wasn't feeling *that* adventurous, so I turned back. Nice little adventure to SI. Since I paid the toll, I checked out Manor Road while I was there (again, probably better to go on Sunday morning... it was a steady stream of cars for me). I'll try to post a new tag in the next couple days... It's hard to think of something creative that hasn't been done already.
New tag. Let me know if this one's been done. I took a quick look at the google map but didn't see it on there.
I think this should be pretty self explanatory.

Not to politicize or proselytize the thread; but the NY Daily News today posted a listing of statues that may come up for "review". It seems they would make a good theme to tag- while they are still in place if some are eventually removed (without commentary of course ).
The current tag is just waiting for someone to grab...
Oh, what the hell...
The very end of 44th Drive in Long Island City. 40.749739, -73.955845
Thought I recognized that location! Pretty close to this tag:
p.s., Brad, you gonna give a clue? Remember Rule #1:
"Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located."
My bad. I try my best for original spots, but this game has been going on for quite some time.
Bonus points if we wear a shirt that matches our bike?
Bonus points for duplicating the point of view.
My jacket matches, too. I shoulda' left it on. Skeeters, that time of day.
Since Doc is the only person on ADV that I block and it appears to me as if you're speaking to ghosts, I think it's safe to assume it was he who was criticizing you for a duplicate or otherwise unoriginal tag.
It is worth noting that the current tag map only shows nearby (~seven blocks away) Gantry Plaza as a tag, not the location for your tag. Veracity of his criticism or potential lack thereof notwithstanding, it is also worth noting that he waited five full weeks to say something about it. So do what I do and ignore him.
Was not criticizing your tag. Great view. I was NOT calling it a re-tag, despite Brad's ad hominem post. That's why I didn't say anything before.
Since Brad is apparently proud of the fact that he blocks my posts, can you ask him nicely for a clue? He will probably answer with a sarcastic comment, which is his specialty, but ignore him!
Boys, can't we all get along? Haha. But seriously... I don't think Doc was trying to be critical, he just had a tag in nearby location with similar view of the city. Brad, I shall deliver this message from the land of ghosts: Doc requests a clue for the new tag. I'm going to guess it's in Queens. That's just my feeling. Not fair if you used a drone... lol.
Let it be noted that Brad, in addition to his vibrators, has his head up his ass. The tag shot I posted was close, and was on the map. It is obviously a different spot, so it's a different tag. Brad, I think your head needs new batteries!
P.s., could someone else copy this photo to "head-up-his-ass"? Thanks!
Well it certainly ain't the island of statins.
There aren't many places in Queens, or NYC for that matter, where you can legally fly drones without jumping through hoops or paying for the privilege. And I ain't payin'.
Very cool tag and clues! Thanks.... Maybe I'll do a Sunday morning ride into Queens for the tag, but I'm not buying a drone for the shot!
To those of The Tribe, I hope you're having an easy fast.
And to heck with the rest of you heathens.
Reminder, the demolition of the Koz is at 8am. Don't be startled by the earth-shattering kaboom.
I'll be stuck at work until noon.
FWIW this airfield can be tricky to spot. It is small and surrounded by trees, there's no parking lot, just a short dirt path from the road, and you'll need to jump the curb to get in there. It's one of those things that you could easily ride right past two or three times before you think "a-ha!". Like I initially did!
Wiseblood, I think Brad's tag, which has sat for three months, is near your home. Why don'tcha pick it up on the way to the Isle of Manhattan tomorrow, and drop it off in Staten Island, so I don't have that far to go?
Rescued off of page 5!
The active tag:
And another clue that Brad won't mind, since he has me on "ignore"!
I might need some help from someone with a drone to take the picture.
