+1. The bikes were very nice! I especially liked the fairings and tower arrangement. That seat pan was cool too. They share a lot of attributes with the new Meca kits in that regard (relocated airbox, small fairing).

I do remember  It wasn't the tanks fault per se, other than Safari designed them too close to the pipe, though they recommend to use a low pipe. So, two-fold problem and it sounds like the FMF pipe will alleviate that.

    +1

    Luis made/molded them? :huh

I am amazed, not to say I didn't think you guys are doing amazingly well in the first place. Do you give tours? I might have to do a little dual sporter and stop by...

(Any way I can talk to you two about making more? I'll PM later...)

Thanks, just let me know when you will be in the area and I will give you the 10 cent tour. FYI, we will be shipping everything, truck, bikes, rv, equipment at the end of October and won't have anything back until late March, early April.

Unfortunately there is only Morocco and possibly still Egypt that is safe - securitywise that is - just too much risk!

    From David Reeve's FB page:

David Reeve's Zambia Dakar 2013 Challenge

BREAKING NEWS:- Sadly, due to the exchange rate creating merry havoc on our budgets, two of Davids' potential team mates, Brett Cummings and Ruan Roberts have had to make other arrangements. Brett is going solo, and Ruan has pulled out of Dakar totally.

This left us in a bit of a predicament with our friends from Orange Service Team. Fortunately Jan and Onno have been very understanding, and we contacted FREEDOM CYCLES in the USA. Michael and Scott have already been typing away, trying to help and sort us out and we are very pleased to be on board with them for 2014.

Anyone else catch this in cycle news?

Looks like plastic or carbon tanks, quite a different appearance to the old bike...

Actually they are made in Brazil (Manaus/Amazonas plant). Anyway, the fairing street model is a little bit different, but in essence has the same underpowered/restricted engine. Good for the youngers ride around town...
