Thanks Reuben. That Jeep is the reason that I currently do not own a bike, my son wanted that Jeep bad (his first vehicle), so I sacrificed my bike to make it happen. I still tell him that when I need some "two wheel therapy", he has to take me wheelin and he gets the two wheels on his side and I get the two on my side.

Planning on picking up either a used KLR or a DR 650 by next spring, if all goes as planned.

Would love a map. The BRT is close-by to where I am in WV. Not sure how you prefer to send out the info but I can get them at trikepilot using gmail as my domain. Thanks!!

Did a little bit of the BRT this past weekend. Started on Old Parkersburg Turnpike and went as far as the end of Potts Mtn. Was a great ride just out for some scenery and a good time. Had one flat that resulted in us leaving a bike in the woods over night. Had tubes and a compressor but the tire was ripped from one side to the other. 35 miles into Star City Power Sports in Roanoke got us there after closing time. Got a hotel and had to get the tire in the am on Saturday. Two headed home after the tire was fixed and I kept going south with one other guy. We turned back about 2 pm and made our way back to Covington by dark. Made the ride home about 4 hours on Sunday. Here are a few pics of the ride.

WV road 151 (off of rt 33, just north of Brandywine WV) is listed on the WV county road map as being GATED. Is this true, and if so when are the gates open?? It is included as a road on your BRT route, so I'm assuming it is normally open??

Here's a link to the official WV road map:
    ftp://129.71.206.174/county_maps/Pendleton_2_of_3.pdf

It shows a gate at each end of 151.

Thanks for any info, I'm planning a ride in this area soon, and since I live about 3 hrs away I cant check on it in person. This seems like the place to ask, since that road is on your map...

Thanks in advance for the info and helping me plan my trip!

FDR151 physically has a gate - but it is open year round. Consult the MVUM as you plan: http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/gwj/maps-pubs/?cid=fsbdev3_000547

Thanks for the link Error Cooled!

That is MUCH more helpful than the WV county road maps I was using before.

Thanks for the files and all your effort. And THANKS for pitching support for Blue Ribbon Coalition. I was on their Board of Directors for several years and fully support their tireless work to keep public lands open to all forms of recreation.
