That's sort of what I was thinking, and I'm looking to buy one. I've got an acquaintance with one that he bought new and has basically never ridden. The bike has 75 miles on it, and he just spent $2k having the dealer sort out the fuel system from non-use. I'm guessing it needed fuel pump, filters, fuel lines and complete servicing. I'm trying to talk him into selling it, and I'll pay him top of the market for the bike, but I'm planning on riding it and my preference would be to find something local that has some miles that I wouldn't be paying the "new bike" premium for. That being said, if he'd sell the bike today I'm sure I'd take it.

I've been tracking HP2 Sport prices, and they've definitely bumped over the past six months, so I'd expect the same of MM's.

MM's with heated grips and ABS are pretty rare...

My MM has neither. But MMs are rare in the US, period. Isn't there only 107 or so that made it over here?

I told him I'd make a big poster of it and have it framed for his garage if he lets me buy the bike.

I agree with you that the value will hold up on the MM as it is on the Sport. I know a local dealer in So Cal that just sold a used 2008 Sport with 7500 miles for 20,500 and the other one that is for sale here they are asking 20,000 with a cracked belly pan. With that said, I have been offered 17k for my MM w ABS and turned it down.
I also have a HP2 Sport and really enjoy riding both a lot. If you can get a MM you will not be disappointed. Make sure you visit HP2.info for all you need to know. This bike REALLY needs the suspension setup and the front forks revalved to put a bigger smile on your face. All info on the site HP2 site

Yes, 107 if you check out VINs on realoem.com Not quite half of those are ABS equipped bikes. Mine has ABS, and heated grips can be installed (which is a nice treat for cool mornings).

    2007 MM speedo LCD

I'm searching a new LCD for my speedo.
Does anybody know where I can find it before buying a new tachy ? :ear
    Thank you very much

    ps
I've a R1200GS tachy but the LCD connector doesn't fit, it's larger about the double.
LCD connector is under the green light.

    Hi, GSMarc,

I think the best solution is to change the connector on the GS-LCD to the MM-LCD. Why not transfer the connector from the MM-LCD to the GS-LCD by soldering? If you do not have the MM-LCD connector, send a close-up of the female end with some measurements and I see if I can get the male end where I am.

    Cheers

    Hi Bikecat,
thank you for the proposal and idea :clap

The HP2E and GS have a connector of about 30 mm large.
The MM has one of 9 mm only.
I have already a LCD with large connector but need a narrow one.

I'll send the pics to a friend of mine in the IT industry and see if he has any leads. Frankly I am not optimistic because the original lead is only 8-pin and the GS's is 30-pin, I can't see how the conversion can be done.

Will reply ya by PM, likely take up to a week or so.

    Cheers

    GS Marc,

As I suspected, the connectors are different and it is hard to replace with a adaptor because the number of pins are different. It looks like the LCD screen was changed by BMW for GS/MM or for different production years.

Sorry that I can't help ya. Looks like an actual MM cluster is your only option.

    Cheers
