Rangy - yes Ive ridden with and without forged wheels...they make a big difference - I would do front and rear at the same time...not just rear.

Results; better braking and turning...quicker direction changes...less unsprung weight matters!

    Go for it.

I'm not a pro of driving on circuit as you seem to be.

From your video, I think your bike was too lean (tilted?)

It's the body which must be in the curve, not the bike.

Don't kill me if you were already with your knee on the track before the accident :thumb

    Thanks GSMarc - if I was a pro, I probably wouldn't have crashed.:D
I didn't have my knee on the track, and you are probably correct in that my body wasn't hanging off the bike enough.

I will look at the prices of getting forged wheels from the States if the original isn't repairable.

Here is the bike stripped down :cry If you look closely you can see the bent rear frame.

Here is the carbon guard off the left cylinder head. The small titanium plate was ripped off. The head underneath was unharmed apart from some small chips. When I replaced the guard I noticed the bolts were bent slightly so replaced those as well. No oil leaks.

Here you can see the bent handlebar and a slight black line on the ridge of the panel, which is the only damage to the panel. One rear panel got scratched and I have got a sticker shop to cover both panels. They now match the front panels in colour and should be easier to clean. More photos later.

I did some driving education, the main message is here.
On the MM, I first have to go back on the saddle and only after hang my body off. No good hanging if you try from naturlal position on the saddle.
    Hope this will help.

Your bike seems not heavily hurt

Thanks again GSMarc. That is a great link, and I will try moving back in the saddle.
I have done one lot of driver deucation like this, but think I have relaxed since then and not getting off the bike as much as I should.
Here is a photo taken the track day before the one I came off. I does show that I am not off as much as in your photos.

Does anyone have a picture of a MegaMoto with an Enduro seat on (with a blue top rather than dark grey) as I'm thinking about buying one as a spare, but BMW want the money before they order it?

Oh yes, I see what you mean. It's annoying that I can't go to the local BMW dealer and try one before I buy it. Will have to think on this.

GSMarc - where did you get the reflective safety wheel tape?
