Hey didnt you go for a ride or something?
I'm waiting for the Death Valley report and why moe.ron has hurting bones.
Sorry I missed you guys at DV, I didn't know which campsite you were in and the wifi in camp didn't seem to work very well to check. I wandered a little Thurs. night and Fri. morning before heading for home but didn't spot you.
I know there's a good story coming up.
Let's just say I know that guy that drove him home very well. We watched his bike on a trailer for 4 hours going home.
I will let Moe tell the rest of the story!
Sux we didn't run into you!! I walked around the camp a few times lookin for your bike. We were over by the restrooms in Camp 17, next to Camp Lostrider..it was quite the ride this weekend that's for sure.
Thank you for your service Lonestar You were a real life saver all weekend, paying it forward, paying it back, it's what it is all about..helping each other out Thanks!
What did happen to moe at DV? Is anyone talking?
He posts, so we know he's alive... and at least two fingers still work
Hope you and the bike are not too banged up moe.
I can report that moe.ron was seen at bmwvc this morning, his bike is there as well.
Last I left him his fingers were still working!
I am OK, just beat up a bit. Was out sight seeing and having a great day after applying a couple pointers Jimmy Lewis shared during a brief demo, it was actually one of my best days ever. Got a little smoother, more confident, and didn't seem to tire as easily. The bike is beat up a bit too but will heal nicely after a couple weeks at the dealer and a call to the insurance company.
Glad you are OK moe.ron, you may not have talent, brains, looks or money, but you've got heart! and heart is more important than any of that other shit
After a topple over on the jeep trail leading to Darwin on Friday, Lost Rider says "Hey man, let me just ride it to the top of the hill for you" to which moe. replies "Fuck that! I'm going to ride it out of here!!" and then he crashed shortly there after.
Heart of a lion, proud of your efforts this weekend...it was painful to watch, but good stuff at the same time.
Now flood Jimmy Lewis with PMs
:huh, with the flying wee that you are fond of, I figured you could be one of Jimmies assistants.
Hope you are back at it and feeling good soon Moe.
I need to have a garage sale before I can go to Jimmy's class. And NOBODY looks better than me laying in the dirt!
You should write all your emergency information on the bottom of your skid plate
The wee jumps quite well, now landing is a different story :huh
Sig line material right there.
Moe.Ron, don't you know you are supposed to pick soft places to land? I chose a nice soft silt bed or two to land in after crossing hunter mountain. As far as that hill to Darwin I made it almost to the top before I chose the wrong line and stalled the bike. I knew those rocks were hard and begged for someone with longer legs and stronger arms to ride my bike through the few hundred yards of nasty rock garden. It sounds like you fell into the rock garden I wimped out of riding through. Darwin was worth the effort to get to though.
I'm glad you and your bike are OK for the most part and I hope even though you got banged up that you had a good time.
Moe.ron goes to Death Valley
After months of prep, riding, practicing, farkeling, talking it over, himming and hawing we were headed to Death Valley
I was sick with some nasty crud for the weeks prior, walking pneumonia the doc said :huh Gave me a pack of strong anti-biotics and I felt much better, but the morning of our ride out to DV I was feeling quite fucked up :eek1 Seeing double, feeling pukey in my helmet, hugging the white line of the slow lane for the first 50 miles :huh I never do that :huh
A stop somewhere on Antelope Highway to thrown down some granola bars and sip a blue monster...a quick call to the wife and we are off again...feeling better, but still sickly
Running fast through Red Rock Canyon State Park
After 250 quick paced miles we made it into Death Valley and straight to Panamint Springs Resort for the big nOOb Ralley
We lucked out being neighbors with the legendary Lost Rider Clan I've admired their postings from the beginning, great to finally meet ya Finn and Nancy
Off to explore
Wild Rose to
Some of our fellow ADVers coming to check the view
Back to the resort for $6.28 gas and a nice sunset
Moe.Tofu.Ron fighting the rocks!
And UpChuck's not feelin' too well.
But they carry on!
Uh, one thing though, Mr. Photoman - those thumbnails are awfully
Maybe you could make the next batch a little different sized?
Looks like ya'll had fun!
