For me the best thing about the CRF is the seat height, it's just more manageable for me. They may weigh the same roughly, but the CRF feels much lighter. And the CRF seat is much better.

My updated skid plate was waiting for me when I got off a trip yesterday. I installed it today, and I can say it's an unqualified success. I can get to the oil filter cover and there is good clearance on the left side of the engine case. I'll put up some pictures tomorrow.

Great customer service by Ricochet. :clap

Anybody have one yet? I think I might give it a try and was hoping someone had an opinion. The price is right.

    Thanks. :ear

What did your dealer charge for the valve clearance check?

Here are the photos of the updated skid plate.

Better clearance on the left side.

For the welding critics, the welds appear to be much nicer. They must have heard you. :D

I decided to tart my bike up a little with the Ricochet zap.

I added Cycra handguards last night too. They didn't give me too much trouble. I did have to reposition the levers a bit.

It's not header wrap. It's header armor. I got it at the same place I got the skid plate. :D

Have not done much to mine yet but ride it. I had an old set of el-cheapo handguards on a shelf. They fit.

My shopping list? One of the above skid plates, pipe armor, 13 tooth front, and a rear rack. I have a GIVI 30 liter top case on a shelf somewhere it looks like this but mine is white.

I just have to decide on what rack I want then adapt it for my case.

What kind of tires are those? Stock? Mine are much knobbier. I'm thinking when they wear out I'm going to spring for a set of Scouts. I'd like something quieter on road.
