Nice. I once spent an entire summer sitting at a gas station hoping the peach would show up. She never did. It still hurts.

    Cool adventures Darth Peach.

And yes charging system problems stink....

Had the regulator on my Iron go out 3 days before my 3000 mile ride round trip to Florida. Luckily it went while I was near the dealership.

Sad part was HD sent me a recall letter about changing the part out 2 weeks after I got back from Florida.

Don't be surprised if Triumph sends you a recall notice after the fact....

And I went with a Fuji Z33WP waterproof digital camera after killing off several digital cameras on fishing trips. Three years so far and it is still in one piece.

Good luck with the new ride.

Happy belated birthday and congrats on the new ride. I really enjoyed reading about the gas station meet, and have seen more than a few ADV stickers on rides, i'll make sure to stop and say hi the next time.

Anxious to see how the rest of the story unfolds.....:ear

    How funny!
That morning when I set out I thought to myself 'I wonder if I'll see any ADV'ers today'…..

Ended up seeing and being helped by a few!

Glad to hear you made it back ok.
I totally forgot about that pic you took.
Maybe I'll call that one 'the calm before the storm' :lol3

I think it's always so cool that that little sticker has united a lot of fellow riders.
and have met a lot of really cool people that way.
I always wave at other bikes on the road or give a nod at a gas station, but if I see a sticker I'll always say hello.
Def love the folks around here!

As far as the rest of my trip up north, it's on the back burner at the moment. I do want to finish it because I've got a few more cool pics and a small story to tell.
    Soon……

    Money making things first :lol3

Hey Peach, so forgive me if I missed where you opined on this but what's the story on selling the Tiger Cub if I can ask? Going to replace it?

That had to be a tough decision. But being a roady rider and having ridden the 800 ... as much as I loved that little cub it really didn't make me want to get rid of the big Tiger. I'd replace the big Tiger with it but I have a lot more miles left on this beast.
You must be sad to see it go TDP but we have to make decisions like this all the time. Luckily you love that big Tiger ...it's obvious from the pics. Ride on...

Wow! Finally made it through the entire thread. Only took me a little over three weeks. :D

Thanks for the pics, the story and the inspiration. I grew up all over the west coast, from San Diego to Whidby Island and everywhere in between, and many of the places you've traveled through are very familiar to me.

I'm a little sad that you are selling/have sold the XC so soon, barely having a chance to get to know it. I just picked up an 800 Roadie myself and I'm loving it.

Anyway, take care, be safe and again, thanks. :beer

Hey Darth Peach, I've just completed re-reading your entire thread (which took several weeks), and just wanted to thank you for sharing your highs, lows, adventures and your goofyness with us. It has been a pleasure following your thread and even re-reading it. I am one of those who has followed you from the begining and feel like you're an old friend, even though we have never met and probably never will. I hope all is well with you and I know this is a crazy busy time of the year for you, but hope that when you have time, you will continue giving us that something only you are able to give. Like I said, thanks for giving of yourself, it is appreciated by so many. :wave :thumb :D .
