+1; He was a Great Manager for Detroit.

3,000,000 plus fans supported their Tigers again this past season = Will be Very Interesting to see who Dombrowski picks next.

New Tiger manager needs to make sure that all the players on the team are in shape. Those guys should not be more fat than the average guy and, for that money, should be in excellent shape. All that fat really effects Fielders play I think as well as several others. A few just have to go like Leyland.... Those are Fielder for sure and most of the relief pitchers for sure. They are a sad lot.

I can tell you I've been a Tigers fan forever, I remember Al Kaline's rookie year, for heavens sake. But this year's Tigers has me completely buffaloed. Some things the Tigers management always seems to forget is that pitching is the key to the game. What do they do year after year? Go for the long ball. Trade away Scherzer and others. And you don't need any receivers if your ahead by 6+, but how many one or two run leads evaporate in the late innings?

Tigers owner Illitch is in the Fast track check out lane and canned GM after 13+ seasons Dumbrowski right after he threw in the towel & traded away what little pitching/hitter they had left "to reload" for next season.

Regardless of the sport, defense WINS Championships...

Glad to see the bats wake up, but they certainly gave up enough runs to lose.

Daniel Norris hitting a homer in his first at bat was pretty sweet. Daniel Norris following it up by going on the 15 day DL isn't and feels like most of the rest of this season has.

Heading to Comerica Park tomorrow night to see them play he Rangers. Hopefully the bats are still madly productive.

    Blow me. :lol3

Might runs like a zeppelin. Tiger bats were pretty useless last night. JV didn't do horribly, just didn't get any run support.

Cecil was much more likeable, a better player to have on a team. I yelled as much at fluffy last night. I don't care if it isn't true. :D The joy of buying seats that put you within earshot of Mr Fluffy.

It was so great to see Fielder lope into home from second after another failure of Tiger pitching. Just seeing him have a great game against fans and a team that believed he was history is the best.
