Nice seeing everyone this morning. Wish I was up there with you folks this evening, knocking back a sip or two.

I left the cabin in Ellijay at 7:00 this morning with the temp outside at 38. It was 34 on the bank clock in Murphy when I came through around 8:00.

Fido, Jarvis, and I had a great ride today. Well, at least Fido and I had a great ride. Jarvis took a tumble coming down from Buck Bald and tweaked his front end and bent his bars. He ended up calling it a day after the lunch stop in Andrews saying it was a little chilly for him.

After that Fido and I did an interesting mix of twisties and dirt in Junaliska (sp), then a FS road that had been paved then deteriorated but is being repaired and is a blast including the pavement/gravel mix. That road took us over to Wayah, then we took Otter Creek Rd. to 28. Saw a Bald Eagle on Otter in the area of rock fence. Fido run off and left me on 28 showing some kids in a rice burner with a coffee can muffler that those TKC80's do know their way around a curvy road.

From there, 28 to Deal's Gap, Joyce Kilmer to the Skyway which we run to Stratton Meadows and caught up with slower traffic, so down to River Road we went. Fido headed toward Davis Creek and me to Tellico Plains, 68 ...

I'd have to say that for such a pretty day, traffic was reasonable all day. Don't know how many miles I logged, but it was 12hrs 15 minutes. Good to be back at the cabin.

Only one flat on Friday..better than in the prior beavers that's for sure. Sorry I had to miss the Saturday happenings - but the upside was the daughter's volleyball team swept 4 games on Sat.:clap

Looks like riding was good on Sat - glad for that![IMG]

It was a team effort, but unbeknownst to us,this was just an easy rehearsal for the Beaver Dogsled crew on Saturday.:evil Mush on gents!
