Okay, that's good to know. Also, upper roller - remove? I don't know what has been done to the bike, as when I got it it has had SO many parts changed. The obvious things are easy to see, but for instance when looking into changing the headlight, I noticed that it was already unusually white and bright - possible already changed.
Might tear it apart to see what has been done - you always need to know your bike!

    Cheers, Chris!

The one thing I noticed on your bike is that it doesn't have any fork protection except those ludicrous shields. You'd be better off putting gaiters back on. The yellow ones are a nice touch. ;)

I have the same bike (1996) and it looks better with the black boots in my opinion.

Be sure to get the series 69 the others are goofy looking. Hope they are available in your area.

    Warp 9 levers!!!

These are awesome. I just put on the brake side and i'll work on the clutch side later. These have that very high end feel to them and provide that much needed lever position adjustment. Warp 9 includes a new perch replacement bolt plus a sweet new end cap for the brake assy clamp on the bar.

The lever is all CNC'd alum. and has a lot of attention to detail. The lever even folds back in case of a crash. Warp 9 has done a great service by producing these when no other option was available. IMO a must do for every DR owner!

I've adjusted them perfect for my shorter fingers for effortless 2 finger stops. If any of you have use high end Shimano or other MTB brake levers, these have that 2 finger perfect control feel to them. :clap They are also shorter than stock for those handguard clearance issues.

Nice personal review of the levers!
I liked them when first released but the price was out of my consideration.
Now with the drastically reduced prices they are back on my list. :D
Glad to hear your positive comments.

I like the purple frame. Reminds me of the good ol' days of high school.

We're back up in the Sierra Madre Occidental near Copper Canyon.
    Cold mornings.

I'm not the only one waiting for it to warm up. Sound asleep, waiting on the sun.

Better now, let's ride a little dirt road and take a look at the Valley of the Monks.

More on the tire report (Heidenau k60 front at 6000 miles) Nice tire, wearing well.

Rear tire: MEFO 99 explorer (6,000 miles). Just starting to square off, but lots of tread left.
