Ummm that font look fine on black. Heck ... the default would not even show up on white.

I noticed that Spot has released quite a decent app. It's available for iPhone, and other platforms as well.

Here's the web page describing it.

Here's a screen shot from a ride we did today.

One of the best things about the app is that messages downloaded to the app stay in it until you decide to remove them. And you can filter which Spot to show messages from, if you have more than one in your account.

Unfortunately it doesn't allow you to add a friend's Spot to the app's screen.

Are you talking about an APP Update as they have had the app for over a year.

Speaking of Apps and data, didn't realize my SPOT Data disappeared from online after 7 days until after we took our trip. Is there any way to retrieve it?

I do have the data on the APP but I have now changed phones. Is there a way to transfer the data from the old phone so that it works with the App on the new phone?

I can't help with the app as I haven't used it, but the 7 days thing on the website is annoying, and not possible to get back any older data. A lot of us use https://spotwalla.com/ as our landing page, it keeps all of your data.

Well nobody mentioned the app here, so I didn't know about it. The last time I looked there was a Connect app only. My Spot II works well enough that I don't normally even think about it much.

But it's useful to be able to see where the other Spot units associated with my account are located. My wife and I often split up while riding, and the app is very useful to us.

And yes, I do know about Spotwalla. Been using that for years.

You can go back over a month.
Go to your SPOT account and set filters.

Anyone got the same problem as mine??

I have SPOT 1st Gen with valid subscription.
All setting are good in my account (email, message, etc...)
I am using correct type of Batteries.
I put the SPOT "on" under clear sky, all lighting looks good. :evil
But it would fixing the satellite forever, light blinking continuously without successful. I pressed the button to send message/email - no thing received.

Any trick to fix this issue?
    Thanks.

SPOT's customer service has gone to hell. They are worse than Comcast.
I just dumped my SPOT for DeLorme InReach, besides the technical advances, DeLorme's customer service actually cares.

Has it been awhile since you used it? Are you leaving it outside with a clear view of the sky for a good bit? It could just take awhile for it to find the sats?

Sounds like the gps circuit has failed. I could be wrong, but I've had one spot gen2 unit fail similarly. Only solution was to replace it. Luckily it was still under warranty.

    Good luck!
